We stayed at the Far View Lodge and appreciated the convenience of this restaurant. We ate there both nights after spending the day exploring the park. They encouraged reservations but you could have been easily seated just walking in. In the summer, you might want to call ahead. Food was very good at reasonably high prices beaded on the location and lack of other options. For two of us, not a big issue but with a family, it could get pricey. Menu included salmon ($28), trout ($24), 6 oz filet ($30), half chicken ($22). They also had appetizers, soups, salads and desserts. Bread with oil served with meals. All our meals were surprisingly good. Wait staff was inconsistent and somewhat slow but we weren’t in a hurry. Sunset was visible from only a few tables but that would change depending on the time of year you visit.

After a long day of sightseeing and driving, we had to treat ourselves and made reservations. We were lucky to get a window table. The service was great right up until the time for the check. Then I didn’t think we were going to ever get it. We got a small bowl of Corn & Lobster Bisque. It was delicious. By the way, they start you off with some bread and dipping oil. Very tasty. The we split a serving of salmon. Don’t ask me what all was with it, but it was delicious.

We ate here two times over a weekend and had amazing meals!
I enclose photos of the fish, salmon, corn chowder soup and a stuffed chile relleno deep fried with a mole sauce and a delicious filet.

We had dinner here for our 32nd anniversary and the host was kind enough to give us complimentary glasses of sparkling wine. Our meal was excellent and everything was freshly made in house. The service was also excellent. The restaurant is attractive with spectacular views on the lower level and Native American art and hand-woven blankets decorating the walls. The prices are reasonable for the remoteness of the location and on par with high-end restaurants in the urban areas of the region.
