My wife and I toured this museum on a recent trip. The exhibits were well done and gave a good view of historical happenings in and around Frederick, Maryland. The clock collection is especially good. The staff was very helpful. We are glad we stopped.

Definitively must do. Take the very inexpensive and well done tour. Nothing like a knowledgeable person to show you the town

Evangelical Lutheran Church, Frederick, MD, is one of the oldest Lutheran communities East of the Mississippi River. A stop by its twin spires and old nave is quite a step back in history. One will not only enjoy its history as a Lutheran church, but learn how the church served during the American Civil War.

The gentleman at the Visitors center recommended this museum and as it was just up the street from the Civil War Medicine Museum, I decided to give it a try. It is located in a historic home and has exhibits that highlight the house and the history of the county through the ages. The ladies who greeted me were super friendly and willing to answer my strange questions. Definitely worth a stop. Also had this awesome quilt off the entry way.
