“Lovely cottage in brilliant location”
Reviewed 5 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Our family of four plus Grandma and dog spent a lovely week in number 2 The Gangway in July this year, From the initial enquiry through to arrival, owners Richard and Katharine were friendly and helpful in all correspondence and the welcome basket complete with goodies (even for the dog!) was a thoughtful touch.

The cottage is small and the front door opens directly onto the living room, which was more than adequate for us to relax in at the end of the day with comfy sofa and armchairs. There is no back garden but there is a bench seat in the front garden where you can sit and watch the world go by. We didn't need the heating but I'm sure this would also be a great place in winter.

There is a spiral staircase leading from the kitchen to the first floor with a nicely decorated double bedroom on the first floor with comfortable bed and space enough to pack away all clothes etc. The bathroom is on the first floor and featured a shower as well as bath and was light and airy.

On the top floor there is a twin bedroom with sink and a third smaller bedroom which suited our teenage daughter perfectly but which is only big enough for a single bed and bedside table.

The cottage is a three minute walk from the beach (very handy for British weather when you may have to leave the beach at short notice when the rains come!) and also close to the shops and many restaurants in Cromer.

We will definitely come again (please!) - many thanks for letting us use your cottage this year.

“Excellent base for the area”
Reviewed 3 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Booked this cottage for a long weekend to explore the area. Totally quaint small cottage, very well presented, well looked after, clean and tidy, perfect for exploring Cromer and surrounding area. Owner contact was very good, couldn't fault it as a lovely little cottage with loads of character.

“Lovely cottage in the perfect location for exploring the beautiful coastline”
Reviewed 6 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We stayed at 2 The Gangway for 10 nights last month. It is a gorgeous little cottage and is perfectly situated to explore Cromer and the wonderful coastline. We have 2 teenage girls and a 10 year old and, being so central, it was perfect for them to go off exploring on their own. The cottage itself was well equipped and very comfortable and also dog friendly which was great as we had homed a Romanian rescue dog since having made the booking...the owner was happy for us to bring her and was really helpful, advising us of walks etc. Thanks so much :-)

“Small seaside gem,perfect location”
Reviewed 14 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Perfect location for Cromer town facilities, the Pier and the beach. Attractively refurbished. No parking but usually manageable somewhere nearby. Small for four or five but ideal for couple or two/three friends. Dog friendly. I have stayed here several times and just love it. Would thoroughly recommend for a real seaside holiday in delightful Cromer

“A perfect holiday!”
Reviewed 8 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We loved this place, it was the perfect location, a stones throw from the beach and gardens, and close to everything. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and we felt very well looked after. The gift hamper was lovely and they had thoughtfully left us Easter chocolates for the children too. The cottage itself was perfect in size for us (family of 5) and it was wonderful to be able to lay in bed and hear the waves and sit outside on the bench with a cup of tea and look at the sea.
The kitchen was well equipped and the rooms tastefully decorated. Parking was never an issue for us. We really couldn't fault this place, but we would suggest that if you have young children, it might be worth bringing a stair gate as although the stairs are carpeted and wide, our three year old took a tumble as she wasn't used to a spiral stair case, apart from that, we would highly recommend it to everyone.
