The Spinnaker Hotel

Reviewed 23 February 2017

First time we've visited the Spinnaker since the horrendous flood last year. So pleased to find it still has the same atmosphere and it hasn't lost any of the uniqueness that makes it special. The menu has been updated but still has some old favourites thank goodness. The staff are so friendly and work really hard. Everywhere is always clean and tidy.

Room Tip: Views overlooking the Clyde are the best.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to review the Spinnaker and for the complimentary words. I know you've been before so it's nice to read that you like the changes and the place hasn't changed too much from what it was like before the flood.
Thank you I&S.

Dropped in here for lunch late Thursday afternoon and couldn't fault the place. Staff very polite and attentive, place well laid out with very nice décor...Both my wife and I went for soup and a sandwich and the soup (Lentil) hit the spot on a cold afternoon. Washed down with a pint of Peroni which also hit the spot. In all, a very nice lunch at a very reasonable price & yes, we would certainly return...

We booked a table for lunch here today for a group of seven which included two young children. We had a table at the window in the main bar, which offers plenty of room, great views and a good pub atmosphere. We ordered a variety of meals from the extensive menu, including soup, sandwiches, burgers with various toppings, fish, mac 'n cheese and scampi. There is also a menu for the children. All food was excellent and the service was also very good. The Spinnaker has been beautifully renovated after the recent flooding and its great to have it open again.

Visited on two occasions over the Christmas period with my daughter.
First occasion I had haggis pakora as a starter and my daughter had nachos. I had macaroni cheese with garlic bread and my daughter had pork with mash and veg. All the food was gorgeous macaroni cheese was the best I have ever tasted. We enjoyed it so much we went back.

Second occasion my daughter had haggis pakora and I had black pudding fritter. We both had chicken breast with haggis mash and veg and both had sticky toffee pudding (always a favourite) black pudding fritter was gorgeous as was the haggis pakora. Chicken breast was excellent, haggis mash great and the sauce was to die for. Sticky toffee pudding sponge was excellent and light, toffee sauce was great and overall delighted with the meal.

Environment is lovely, clean, spacious.

Staff are friendly, polite, welcoming. Reasonable prices and definitely will visit again.

Well worth a visit if you are in the area
