Decent hotel, close to lifts, shops and restaurants. Very small room though but I guess you get what you pay for.. The SPA area was over crowded with noisy children. I am staying in the same hotel this year...

My Grandaughter aged 3 years was taken very sick in the night screaming with pain and very high temperature the night staff had no idea who to call i.e. Doctor or Ambulance or any medical service whatsoever. My son and his wife had to walk in minus temperature with my Grandaughter screaming in agony in my sons arms in the snow to a doctors clinic that was locked up. (This is a well known ski resort) after failing any medical care they had to drive over 2 hours to a Marbella hospital which they knew, rather than be lost in Granada. Moral of this don't break anything or become sick if you stay in this hotel.

Dear Dawn M,

First of all thank you very much for choosing our hotel to spend your stay in Sierra Nevada, we greatly regret that your stay could not reach its end as planned.

We worried a lot when we found out that her granddaughter was ill, that is why we can not understand your feeling of no interest on our part. This saddens us a lot.

The staff responsible for the night shift, not only tried by all means to contact an ambulance and medical assistance by phone, but also kindly accompanied you to the medical center of Sierra Nevada, where for reasons unrelated to the management from our hotel they could not assist you.

After this... Do you still think that the management of the Meliá Sol y Nieve Hotel did not want to help you, or the reason for your dissatisfaction is another? If so, please contact us and let us know the real reason for your dissatisfaction, to apply corrective measures, apologize and try to avoid a possible misunderstanding in the future.

We hope that your granddaughter has recovered very soon and is in perfect condition, as well as yourselves.

helpful staff. always smiling)))) excellent service. good value for money. very nice lounge level. best location . Spa is amazing. already book for next time .. really no complains...definitely be back again and again

My husband and I are partial to Melia hotels in Spain, even being members with Marriott and Westin/SPG. This hotel surpassed expectations for the room, ski storage and oversized towels. It's a quick walk to the Gondola. The Q lounge is also lovely. We will stay again!

We have been staying in this hotel for many years and have got to know some of the staff, the hospitality is amazing. The difference between Sierra Nevada and the rest of Europe is most of the time you are skiing in sunshine and the second is it doesn't break the bank to have a good time. Good locker rooms, mini gym if your up to it, Spa, never been but it is very impressive. All in all a great base to let your hair down and chill out. Many thanks to all the staff especially.
