We love this place . Truly a beautiful setting with sweet and service minded staff . Great room and the grounds are stunning.
We bought a package that included breakfast but discovered that it was a disappointing convenience store credit instead of the stellar buffet breakfast available in the main restaurant Because it was our special event stay we elected to enjoy the better meal but it was quite pricey
It is a special place

The extra costs made it a four not the overall experience

Amazing hotel and facilities. Super family friendly, and very well maintained hotel. The beach is spectacular. You can snorkel right from the beach to a reef with incredible fish, etc. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and the Grand Spa is unbelievable. Make sure you show up an hour early to take full advantage of the “healing waters” and other amenities.

We love The Grand Wailea and have been vacationing here for several years. It is perfect for families. This year, we enlisted Pacific Dream Photography (located inside the hotel) to take family photos for us on the property. Our photographer, Jacob, did a fantastic job, making it hard to choose which pictures to buy! A truly delightful experience...Ask for Jacob, and you won’t be disappointed. We love everything about The Grand Wailea and all it has to offer!

We stayed at the grand Wailea late March. I have stayed in Wailea twice. Grand Wailea is perfect for families. I stayed in the Fairmont last time and it is better for couples. The service at the grand is superb. It has arguably the best pool for kids in the world and there is a lot to do on the property. Since I have stayed in Maui twice on both sides of the island I have tips:
-If you want alone time with your spouse without paying $65 for each kid for 2 hours at the kid’s club you should take advantage of the spa grande fitness activities which are at 3 pm everyday for 2 hours and only $15 dollars. Can leave kids there.
-if you do the luau at the hotel use Costco and save at least $100
-if you do the road to Hana which is fantastic and worth it you should download the gypsy app which is like having a tour guide in your car
-if you have kids the grand shows movies at twice a week in the pool
-the grand will give you a free microwave for your room
-the kid’s club has free events for the kids 9-10 am everyday
-go to the lava field which is near the hotel
-don’t just stay at the hotel. It is beautiful but there is more to Maui than the Grand Wailea

This place is amazing. We stayed for an 11 day family vacation and had a blast. We barely left the resort except for a trip to the volcano and Maui Brewing Co (definitely stop here and have a few beers). Enjoyed the pools, bars, restaurants, beach access, walking/running trail, etc.

We stayed in the Panapua section so our stay included the continental breakfast buffet with coffee, juice, mimosas and Bloody Marys. It also included a hosted happy hour with daily drink specials and hours devours and nightly dessert. I highly recommend upgrading to this section to save a ton of money on food and drinks.

Staff was amazing. They took the time to know us by name, who we where with and how long we were staying.

It’s a little pricey but well worth the indulgence.
