Ewan was a great host, very welcoming the room was well appointed
with everything well catered for. The home is on a large section which
is so quiet with the windows wide open it was so peaceful. We were
served a cooked breakfast over Ewans breakfast bar as he cooked and
we chatted, a very tasy start to the day. a lovely personal stay

Visited here before journeying to Middlemarch along the Otago Rail Trail. I stayed here an extra night to spend time cycling along the Clutha River and partake in the odd wine tasting. Top tip, research and get appointments at Vineyards that don't have an open door or are out of season. Clyde has a understated beauty that matches Arrowtown less the tourist traffic.

The homestead is run by Euan, an energetic and very relaxed Kiwi, who has a gentle, friendly approach to hosting guests. It is peacefully situated opposite the river and allows you the space just to be and the opportunity to be more adventurous. I will return and spend more of my precious holiday time here.

Many thanks Euan and has English Springer, Jazz.

We had a wonderful stay with Euan who provided great advice on the local township, an excellent Rose looking out over the Clutha River and fabulous breakfast. Definitely try his home made Apricot jam and Plum and Lavender Jam. It was awesome.

This was such a great place to stay after doing the Rail Trail.

Just spent a great evening at Hartley Homestead on our recent Otago trip. Host Euan (and assistant Jazz the spaniel) went out of his way to make sure we were well looked after: free room upgrade, inviting us in to his home to share some local wine and stories, and preparing a special 'on-the-run' breakfast for us when we said that we had to leave early the next morning. A memorable stay in a fantastic location.

This quaint B & B felt like home, it's charm & peacefulness made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived,
We originally planed to stay one night & stayed for four! It's the perfect location for day tripping through central Otago. Every morning we set off in one direction or another after enjoying one of Euan's delicious breakfasts...home made bread, perfectly cooked eggs, fresh picked plums & apricots from his garden...all Served with espresso & enthusiastic conversation.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this wonderful spot, we're so delighted to have found such a gem!
You made our visit to the South Island memorable Euan
Thank you so much

I must say it was a blast hosting you two. I hope the rest of your trip went well and you managed to get a few bottles of vino through customs...
