“Getaway cabin that was close to town, but separate enough to feel more secluded and romantic.”

My wife & I stayed at the Rose Den for 3 nights in late November for her birthday. The cabin was small, but perfect for the two of us. It could accommodate more if needed, but we found it to be great for the two of us. It is built onto a hillside a short drive from both the entrance to RMNP and the main "strip" of Estes Park. This cabin is in a small group of 3 or 4, but they don't feel like they're on top of one another. I'm very glad that we selected this location instead of somewhere that may have cabins closer together (or have more of a hotel feel).

The cabin was older, but nicely appointed with everything that we needed to keep us comfortable. The fireplace and hot tub were nice features since we traveled in the winter time, especially during snowy evenings. If you're interested in wildlife, we saw chipmunks, deer, and wild turkeys roaming the property.

A great spot for a romantic getaway or to serve as a base camp for adventures in RMNP/Estes Park.

Rose Den cabin had all the charm one would expect from an old cabin. We enjoyed all the charm, character, spectacular views, and all the wildlife but felt it could be a bit cleaner and for anyone around 6' watch your head!

“Beautiful Cabin with Stunning Views”

Rose Den met all our expectations and beyond. We wanted a cabin in the woods near Estes town and RMNP with views. Rose Den was perfect. We loved staying there so much we stayed an extra day.
The views from the massive picture windows are amazing. Plus we saw Deer and Elk strolling past as well as Chipmunks and hummingbirds.
The cabin has a very comfortable King bed plus a trundle and a sofa bed. There was just the two of us so the king was perfect and very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and even has a dishwasher. The cabin is one very large room plus a kitchen, bathroom, plus another room with a sink and closet. The large windows let in lots of light.
We made full use of the Jacuzzi every night which was perfect after a day walking on trails.
Estes Park is just a short drive from the cabin. There is even a free bus that goes there from across the street.
RMNP entrance is again just a very short drive away. We enjoyed walking on the trails and enjoying seeing the animals in the park.
For us Rose Den was perfect and we would love to go back again very soon.

“Perfect Cabin for a Mountain Getaway”

Rose Den was conveniently located near town, yet in a quiet, private setting. Comfortable beds, large picture windows for amazing views of the mountains, a fireplace for colder months, WI-FI if needed, and wildlife that visited the side yard, and a hot tub to finish off a day of hiking.

“Quiet, clean cabin with stunning views of Longs Peak”

We absolutely loved our stay at the Rose Den and hope to return soon. Jim was responsive, answered our questions, and even put a high chair in the cabin for our son. The view is simply stunning, the second best we've ever seen from a hotel or cabin window. The hot tub was also nice and had great views of the mountains. The cabin, while somewhat outdated, has a ton of character and is quiet and secluded. It is located near 3 other cabins but the cabin is positioned so you can't even really see the others. The only negatives are the steep walk to the cabin, and we would prefer a better selection of cookware.
