We came here for dinner with a party of 10, some of whom had special dietary restrictions (gluten free being a main one). Not only were they able to seat us (without reservations on a Saturday night), their menu provided everything everyone needed to make selections that met their needs and were thoroughly enjoyed. The staff was extremely pleasant and we all had a wonderful time.

First, off season there are few pizza options. Go for a chain off season. Poppy’s was more than disappointing. We called a to go order in about 30 mins before closing. The person answering the phone was unhelpful and unenthusiastic. Upon entering the establishment to pick up food, a couple was wanting to dine in. The hostess was incredibly rude to them.

We ordered two large pizzas and two orders of fried cheese curds. We were staying 3 mins from the restaurant. The cheese curds were very old. Room temperature on a bed of wet shredded iceberg lettuce. Portions were large for an appetizer. We regularly order friend cheese apps to go and have reasonable expectations of what we are getting. These were disgusting.

The pizza. Bland was putting it lightly. Good pizza is the perfect balance of crust, sauce and toppings. There was a lot of sauce but no flavor. The crust tasted like stale crackers. Not in the yummy crispy cracker crust way some pizza lovers enjoy. This tasted like last years saltines took a trip to the tropics and washed off the salt. The toppings were placed on the sauce below the cheese. The top and bottom of the pizza was browned but the inside was room temp. The meats tasted like lunch meat from the fridge and the dry generous layer of cheese was flavorless.

I can not recommend enough trying ANY of the other pizza places in town during peak season and go for a chain during off peak.

$75 down the drain and we ate pb&j for dinner that night.

Really good service, nice beer selection. I had the Rocky Mountain pizza, with smoked trout. Excellent!

Eating out is tricky from me due to multiple food allergies: Celiac (gluten), egg, dairy, shrimp. Yes, it sucks.

Anyway I was able to order a gluten free pizza with allergy friendly sauce (olive oil and garlic), veggies, sausage and dairy free cheese.

One of the better meals I had that was complicated-allergy-friendly!

I likely was contaminated as in any eating out situation, but this gave me a safer option compared to other restaurants.
