Had several appetizers as a meal. The shrimp cocktail was good. The haddock chowder was okay. The clams contained so much sand I thought I was going to break a tooth. One third of the mussels didn’t open so impossible to eat.

This has consistently been my experience here. If there was any other restaurant open, I would have gone. Don’t eat here.

Visited Frank's for lunch while camping at nearby Cobscook. Looks modest from the outside, but serves top-notch, fresh seafood. Enjoy a delicious lobster roll and watch the seals cavort in the water.

Foodies from Southern Maine might not appreciate Frank's, but this is the real deal. A small restaurant with great views of Campobello Island and good food. Some might say this is "authentic" Maine dining, except Frank says he's from Pennsylvania. The haddock Florentine was absolutely delicious!

Even tho we arrived early, the room was packed. Once our dinners were served, we knew why. Fabulous Italian food . . . I highly recommend the Tortellini Romano - cheese stuffed tortellini in a cream sauce with mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes and spinach. Cozy room with a lot of character and attentive service.

While a low frill location, we enjoyed the food. For dinner, I chose the pan-fried haddock, served with a baked potato and broccoli -- very nice and we had a great view of the lighthouse. For lunch, I had the fried scallops, which were tasty but a bit greasy.
