We travelled to Arizona for the first time ever with another couple back in June. We stayed in hotels in other Arizona towns but we were fortunate enough to stay at Sally's B&B when we got to Tucson. It is amazing how much more enjoyable that part of our trip was in part because of Sally's hospitality. I definitely think that the time of year makes a difference but fortunately, I hear the weather in Arizona is nice most of the year. We made the most of the outdoor living area-eating breakfast, using the pool, relaxing at the end of the day, playing cards at night, etc. The rooms were comfortable and the outdoor private shower is a nice feature.

We can't think of anything that would make our stay at Cactus Cove more enjoyable. The place is amazing - the landscape, fantastic mountain views, relaxing setting and of course the lovely comfortable rooms with every amenity desired including refreshing private outdoor shower, special treats and, of course, enjoyable breakfasts. It was like staying with a good friend; the owner, Sally, was very welcoming, helpful and fun to be with. We hope to return for another visit. Can't say enough about what a great experience!

Being a repeat guest, for the third time, this place is a great place to stay. Very peaceful location with stunning views and not too far from town. Breakfast is always superb. Also it is neat to find great tasting, refreshing treats in your room when you return in the afternoon after spending the day in town. Rooms are large and very pleasant to be in but who had time to spend in the room with all the things to do and see in Tucson as well as the swimming pool you can have all to yourself. Staff is very helpful with recommendations of things to do. If you are lucky you may get a glimpse of the wildlife - jack rabbits, bunnies also blooming cactus.

My wife and I just stayed one short night at Cactus Cove. We both enjoyed the beautiful desert gardens all around the property. Sally, the owner, is very engaging and informative. We felt very comfortable in the room and enjoyed the ourdoor shower.

Cactus Cove is located in the far NE section of Tucson, close enough to shopping and attractions to be convenient, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be peaceful and quiet. The views of the Catalina and Rincon Mountains are spectacular. The semi-rural location away from city lights provides dark skies at night peppered with a million stars. The occasional howl of coyotes in the distance can add to the Western experience.
The accommodations are superior and well maintained. The in-room hot tubs, outdoor showers and comfortable bedding are always welcome after a day of hiking in nearby Saguaro National Park.
The breakfast meal is of gourmet quality and one can enjoy the first cup of morning coffee out on the covered patio by the pool. Innkeeper, Sally Gunderman, is a delight and could not be better suited for her role. She will make every effort to assure a pleasant stay for her guests.
We have stayed at Cactus Cove twice a year for the past ten years or so and intend to continue doing so.
