The rooms were nice and quite, plenty of parking. I would add some charging stations by the bed for phones, laptops, etc. I would update hall and elevator carpets, at least from what I noticed on the fifth floor. Save room for breakfast because it can carry you for the day. Nice fresh ingredients.

Got in a little late from a long drive. Check in was quick, but went downhill from there. The room didn't appear very clean, bathroom floor was dirty and the carpet had stuff on it already. The furnishings were old and there was a lack of outlets. The AC works well, but sounds like a jet engine when it starts and can wake you up.
My biggest problem though was the party in the lobby. Well into the night with screaming and laughing and loud music. There was no way we were sleeping. Some kids were running through the halls making tons of noise all night. The last time I looked at the time it was after 11pm and still going. Very disappointed in the room and the lack of staff not keeping the party quiet so the rest of the hotel could sleep.
Just a few more notes. The beds are very uncomfortable and noisy. Just rolling over is loud. The Wi-Fi is terrible. It's very slow. Walls are thin, you can hear every noise and every car outside. Since i do want to say something good, The breakfast is good, typical free breakfast. Maybe just don't get a 1st floor room and you will be good.

First, what I liked. Large room with partial divider and a good sized TV that swivels to either area. Couch serves as a hide-a-bed with extra bedding in the closet if desired. A 2nd sink in the minibar area that also has a mini fridge and an in-room safe. Nice desk with rolling chair. Free parking. Close to airport. Two elevators. Free breakfast. 4 sets of towels. Attractive lobby. Real silverware used at breakfast. Beds were firm and comfy.

Second, what annoyed us (some more minor that others). More seating for breakfast area. "Kitchen Skillet" mix of home fries, cheese and sausage had potatoes that were still partially frozen. In room coffee (tray type single cup with porcelain cups, Hyatt generic brand) WAS NOT REFRESHED for day 2 of our stay Grrrrr. Powdered creamers in room (but liquid in the lobby). Pillows seems thin but at least there were 3 per bed. Standard toiletries ("KenetMD brand) lacked any lotion for the desert. No restaurants within walking distance. No night light (so opening curtain at night sufficed). TV had decent channel selection but many lacked High Definition quality. Remote control seemed to have a dying battery and the battery compartment was secured with a small screw that we could not open. Free wifi but internet seemed to slow down in the evening when likely more people were using it.

There are 5 floors in the hotel and we were on the top floor which was nice avoiding any street noise (but the street is not very busy anyway). The odd numbered rooms have a view of the distant mountains which is nice.

Misc: Wall mounted a/c can be noisy but running just the fan at night kept the room air from getting stale. Our sink did not drain when we checked in (disconnected lever) but a call to desk had maintenance arrive quickly to fix it.

I have read where Hyatt Place is experimenting with eliminating free breakfast. This will be a horrible idea, a deal breaker for me since I already avoid Courtyard for the same reason. There are many options of nice places near the Tucson airport so look for the best deal.

Room Tip: Top floor (5) with odd numbered rooms have view of distant Catalina Mountains

The rooms were clean and the breakfast was unusual for an airport hotel. There was a variety of offerings: fruit, cereal, eggs, toast, pancakes etc. The front desk was also helpful when we had needs (toothpaste, hair blower, etc)
