Our room was spacious, housekeeping efficient and the Tues-Thursday Managers' receptions very welcoming! Free wine, beer and hot snacks in the lounge. Breakfast included and that was hot too. Free shuttle and pick up to downtown destinations. Good location, not far from the Alamo, however not on the Riverwalk as the name might imply. Lovely lap pool but too cool for us to try.

Room Tip: There is a highway very nearby - didn't bother us with the A/C and we were facing it mid-hotel on 3rd floor.

The hotel is in a rough part of town but the customer serevice is good. They serve a very nice breakfast and the Hostess Georgia Rios is very proud of her meal. She is cheerful and really tries to go above and beyond.

The only complaint I have is the first day I checked in I reported a burned out light bulb. It took 2 days and 2 reminders to get it replaced.

We just spent three nights in this hotel and were sad to leave. We loved being in San Antonio which is beautiful. The hotel is close to the downtown area where the Alamo is located and where the fascinating Riverwalk, with it's dozens of restaurants and shops lies. We walked the few blocks to the hotel once at night and felt totally safe. The other times we simply asked for a pickup by the hotel's shuttle; we were picked up in town within five minutes. One time we got on the Yellow Route bus and for $1.10 each were delivered within one block of the hotel. The complimentary wine and appies in the evenings is wonderful. The hotel is quite new so everything is in good order. The rooms are clean, If we wanted to be picky, the only thing we could find that was annoying was that the duvet is made of shiny fabric so it kept sliding off the bed. The staff is all friendly and not too stuffily formal which we liked. You won't find a nicer hotel in our opinion.

Room Tip: Our room was close to the freeway and although we barely heard the traffic you could ask for a room on the opposite side of the hotel.

We stayed in the Comfort Suites for a long weekend in San Antonio. The facility was very well maintained and the staff was excellent. Ray, the manager, was very helpful and his staff was friendly and very knowledgable about the San Antonio area. The river walk is about a 7 minute walk from this hotel. We are not city people and yet we felt very comfortable making the short walk. If you choose not to walk, the staff is willing to shuttle you in a very short time period. Thanks again to Ray and his staff for making a great city an enoyable experience.

Room Tip: The city view room really aren't that much of a city view but was clean and comfortable.
