Stopped in for lunch after touring the Steves homestead. The restaurant was very charming and the food very good. There is a tiny museum about the owner and the history of hill milling company. I would recommend it for breakfast or lunch if you are in the area visiting the historical King William district

We visited Guenther House and had trouble finding the entrance. There is no sign saying "Enter here" to the museum. We also had to direct several other people who were confused.

The house has very little to see, no placards with descriptions and only two rooms to view. However there was a large gift shop to peruse and the clerk there was very friendly. We didn't dine there so it was kind of a waste of time for us....unless the jalapeno corn bread mix we bought makes an awesome batch.

Located in the King William Historic District, the Guenther House offers a museum, gift shop, and restaurant on beautiful grounds along the San Antonio River. The museum is free and the restaurant offers delicious food in a beautiful setting. If you want to take your loved one to a beautiful, special place without breaking the bank this is the place to do it! I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
