After viewing the Alamo- we walked across the street to start the tour on the "Latino Express" with Robert- he could not have been more enthusiastic or fun! Made seeing his city interesting. We went through the full loop the first time around. We did stop at The Pearl Brewery area- a really neat place. Several very fine restaurants, purchased some jewelry from the fair trade store located there. Beautiful park like common area. We ran out of time to see the Marketplace- but it looked like a very fun, colorful experience. Shops and restaurants throughout. The tour buses do make their last pick ups around 5-530 so I would recommend starting early in the day and planning on spending a few hours to explore the stops that interest you. They state that buses come around every 20 minutes and our experience was just that. We rode downstairs due to the heat- but upstairs was available to view the city. I was a little hesitant to do this based on some reviews, but after doing it- I would really recommend it. I hope that you have the good fortune to have Robert as your driver. Muchas Gracias Roberto!
