San Antonio: The Saga was very cool. We also saw the inside of this oldest of U.S. cathedrals. Very ornate.

On certain nights there is an amazing laser light show on the front of the San Antonio Cathedral at 9:00, 9:30, and 10:00 P.M.
It artistically represents the history of Texas with beautiful changing colored lights. A highlight of the city.

Our river walk guide told us about this and had no idea what to expect. We stayed and watched it twice we liked it so much. Was very relaxing and nice way to spend 30 or so minutes in the evening after dinner and before we went out for the night.

The light show was really good; good music with a professional presentation of Texas history. It's a must; don't miss it.

This is the plaza in front of the San Fernando Cathedral, which you definitely shouldn't miss seeing. If the Alamo plaza is the heart of the SA tourist area, this plaza is the heart of downtown, dating to the early 1700s. It has trees, fountains, tables and landscaping, nice place to sit and take in the architecture.
