We stayed here on our way home from our South Padre Island vacation. It was our overnight stay. The place was abuzz with the Final Four in town. This was the Villanova team hotel. Tons of fans in the hotel. The place is right in the center of the riverwalk with the Alamo a block away. My kids enjoyed the property as they were given final four bags and other swag. Only issue is I chose the upgrade button on the website when I booked. There are 4 of us and the upgrade was an atrium suite which we found out upon entering our room is that it has only one king bed and no pull out or anything. After much hassling with the front desk the manager made it right by sending 2 rollaway beds for us. Overall it was comfortable.

Hi charlessC2286FP,

Thank you for your review of your recent stay at our property. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our convenient Riverwalk location and the atmosphere of Final Four; however we are disappointed to hear of your negative experience with your upgrade. We are happy to know that the front desk was able to accommodate your needs! We hope to see you on your next visit to San Antonio.

Beautiful hotel. Great location if you want to be on the river walk. Friendly staff. Hotel was beautifully decorated and rooms were up to date. For a special occasion I would stay here again. Only had drinks at the bar....we didn't try the restaurant. We did have to pay for parking, but that was expected since it's downtown.

This hotel is beautiful. The location is great....just get on the elevator to go to the bottom floor and walk right out onto the river walk. When we got there I had asked if there was a room with a view and was told all the upgrades are gone but there was a "city view". I was like "ok great". Got to our room and our view was the building next door!!! So just beware if they tell you "city view" what you may be in for. Another complaint would be for that many people staying in the hotel there are only 5 elevators. It was a nightmare at times trying to get an elevator to go to our room. And when you check out, try to check out early. Took us about 15 min to get an elevator that wasn't full. It was like everyone waited until check out time to leave. Also, if you take pride and care in your vehicle I would suggest parking it yourself. We are smokers so often times we would just walk across the street and stand by our car and after seeing how the valet drivers park those cars, there is NO WAY I would let them park my car. Thank goodness a car wasn't coming around a corner when they were parking a car because it would have been ugly! Speeding, squealing tires, stopping hard and fast.....nope, no way! I was a little disappointed that for the money we spent the rooms weren't that great. You would think at a Hyatt the rooms would be awesome, but no. We've actually stayed in hotels for less that have better rooms. Not sure if we would stay here again ONLY because there was no balcony. If that doesn't matter to you this hotel is GREAT!

The hotel was so beautiful and in a perfect location. The hotel is right on the river walk and on the other side was the Alamo, restaurants, and shopping. The staff was also amazing, everyone was so welcoming and made me feel at home. Thank you to everyone for making my stay great. I will definitely be back to this property.

The location was great and right up to the river and close to many activities in the area. The staff was fantastic to work with and we would recommend a stay anytime and in fact have already booked it for at least one more of our trips this year. Pricing is at least fair compared to their neighbors but so far their helpfulness is what we still talk about. The pool and fitness area are great and although the F&B needs some help if you are on vacation instead of a conference we cannot legitimately find anything that it worth a negative remark.
