On a recent visit to Thousand Oaks I tried this place. What a find !!!! One of the freshest, most delicious sandwiches I have ever tasted. If you are sick and tired of chain junk food, this is it. Yes, a few more bucks than Subway, but 1000% better. I had the turkey avocado on sourdough and it was delish. It is a traditional European deli with old world quality and service. They also sell hard to find European products and toiletries, which was a unique surprise. Will be back next time I am In Thousand Oaks.

Very original German Cafe. Authentic German meats, breads, deserts, and a assortment of wine, beer, and other German treats.
A very nice atmosphere, for a relaxing lunch.
I frequent the place often for many years and have never been disappointed.

I love Alpine Deli. The sandwiches are fresh and delicious. The shop is clean and organized. If you go add the German Potato salad! It's my favorite!

Have eaten here several times. The sandwiches are good but not great. Service is very friendly. The store carries imported cookies, candy, soups, etc., which are fun to browse through while waiting for lunch.

This is a small storefront "European Style Deli"...they sell a few imported odds & ends but basically it's a sandwich shop with a few tables...you walk up to the counter & order. They have a Nice selection of German, European & American Sandwiches, & Salads.
Prices for sandwiches runs from about $7.25 to $8.50.
The luncheon meats appear to be freshly sliced and are good.
I had an Italian cold cuts on a roll ($7.25) and my wife had an antipasto salad ($8.50). The
Sandwich was not overflowing but just enough meat... and was tasty...roll was OK. The Salad was very basic lettuce & tomato with some good luncheon meat thrown on top...not special.

Years ago we used to go to a place in North Hollywood that made Italian Cold Cut Sandwiches on Fresh Baked Rolls that were so good you couldn't wait to go back...that is not the case with the Alpine Deli...If you're in the neighborhood and don't mind dropping $16/$18 Bucks on lunch for two... you will probably like this...but don't go out of your way.

For people who haven't been to Europe ...A Sandwich in Paris is one piece of Ham & Cheese (Jambon y Gruerre) on a hard roll with butter & mustard...Americans expect much more!!!
