We stayed at Shenandoah Stars with extended family and had a wonderful time. The proximity to the river was wonderful, we had a great time swimming and canoeing. At night we enjoyed the fire pit and barbeque grill.

Beautiful home on the river with wild life right in your back yard. The neighbors trailer and setup was an eye soar but never were a problem. It was so nice to have the canoes available insight to fish every morning. Maintenance never came to fix the light until the last day of our stay but that was not a big problem.

We thoroughly enjoyed a full week at Shenandoah Stars, along with our dog, where we made full use of a canoe, grill and hot tub. My husband fished every day, from the canoe and the riverbank, although the fish weren't biting much right around us. He still managed to land a few smallmouth bass. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, as we ate nearly all of our meals at the house. The master bedroom was very comfortable, and we enjoyed watching a few of the 200 or so DVDs provided. The house was a bit more off the beaten path than we had realized, but that wasn't really a problem. This was our second visit to the Luray area in the past few years, and we do enjoy the charming small town and proximity to the Skyline Drive. We hiked, rode our motorcycle and visited several wineries. All in all, a very wonderfully relaxing vacation.
