The Museum of Yachting is a small two floor building that holds lots of pictures and models of sailboats. They also build a boat right in the Museum. You have to pay a fee to enter but the museum is self guided so you can spend as much time in there as needed. I believe it is open seasonally and during the summer of 2008 they were closed on Tuesdays. They are under the same management as IRYS so you can go to their building in downtown and watch them restore sailboats there for free.
The Museum holds many regattas in the summer and hosts lectures dealing with sailing and Rhode Island. It is a must see for all those sailors out there. If you don't really care about sailboats and the America's Cup, then pass on this attraction.
