A short wait until the table was ready but we were able to grab a drink at the bar. Crowded, but friendly people.
The food was good. Spinach balls appetizer was delicious!
Friendly staff

This is a delicious restaurant attended by both locals and visitors. The menu is simple, the kitchen is open, the drinks and service are very good. They offer interesting pizzas but were glad to make on simple pie which wasn't on the menu. Very accommodating. Good value.

Four of us (2 couples) went to The Fifth Element for New Years Eve. The owner, bar tender and wait staff were friendly, very attentive and truly wanted everyone to have a great time. The buffet they laid out was fabulous; I can only imagine that the food on a regular night would be equally wonderful. The night started out with appetizers from shrimp, Asian slaw, cheese, crackers, artichoke hearts, nuts and more then I can recall. The main buffet had something for everyone; beef, fish, chicken, salads, roasted asparagus and more! The decor of the restaurant is industrial yet warm and upscale. We had made reservations before seeing the restaurant so we went the day before to check the place out. They weren't open, but saw us peering in the windows and invited us in. They were more than happy to show us around and tell us about the New Years plans. When we went the next day for our reservations, the owner and bartender both remembered our names. Impressive. Next time we are in Newport, we will definitely try their regular menu. All four of us highly recommend The Fifth Element.

The restaurant appears to be half restaurrant half bar. Thought the food wss good and so was the service. I liked the atmosphere. It did appear to be outside the Newport tourist area.

I must say I was intrigued by the name in te first place. We had dinner there and it was a good experience. It was busy ( that is always a good sign) but they could "squeeze" us in.
