We stayed for four nights during the Jazz Festival. You can't beat the location. The rooms are very clean and very nice. The bathrooms are small but manageable. The breakfast is not elaborate but I've never had a more perfectly toasted bagel.

I would recommend it highly and will stay here again.

The Inn was very cute. Loved the historic neighborhood, roof top deck with views of the water & garden. The staff at breakfast were very friendly. All the breakfast breads were very yummy - especially the banana bread and they make a great cup of coffee. The location is terrific and is a very short walk into town. We stayed in room 8 which was cozy (no ghosts to report).

We stayed for 2 nights, June 20/21 2017. Perfect location for exploring the very picturesque Newport, very quaint 'victorian' style guest house and very friendly owner. Lovely breakfast with stunning views from the third floor balcony terrace. The only slight 'down-sides' were that the 'bathroom' was tiny (not a major issue for us as we only stayed two nights) and the fact that you have to park about 250 metres away (although you can unload your car outside and the off-site parking has spaces specifically allocated to Pilgrim House). This guest house might be a problem for those with mobility issues as the stairs to the breakfast room are quite steep. All-in-all, though, highly recommended

Room Tip: Bear in mind that the stairs are quite steep if you have mobility problems

It seems that there are tons of reviews telling of the nice third floor breakfast room (outside deck over looking the harbor in the distance weather permitting), good breakfast selection (delicious baked goodies) and friendly owners: We agree! You can park next to the Inn and unload your luggage and then park 10 minutes walk away. The walk to our car was the ONLY downside and the owner assured us that they have thought of every possible solution and parking at the church was the best answer. Other than that: this is a wonderful place to stay. We would stay again.

Room Tip: Get a room on the back side: no traffic noise.

Myself and friend Mary stayed 2 nights in Room 8, supposedly a favorite of Jessica a 7 year old ghost who is fond of pranks (we never 'saw' her). Very quaint and cozy, there was an envelope containing a key and parking info on the Inn's front door, so we checked ourselves in! Has some free sherry and snacks in the living room which was adorned with literally a hundred stuffed rabbits. We also heard a noise through the wall in another room, turns out the owners have parrots! Owners Barry and Debbie were very friendly and we really enjoyed breakfast on the 3rd floor. From the the outside patio you can see the water. The first nigh which was extremely windy, sleeping we kept hearing noises assuming it was other guests walking back and forth. Turns out, the windows were creaking and so we stuffed pillows against them and were able to fall back to sleep. The free parking at the United church is only a 10 minute walk. This Inn is right near everything easily within walking distance.I felt the prices were a tad steep, but the room was comfortable and the place is totally charming!

Room Tip: recommend a room toward the back as there is street noise at the front
