We recently went on a vacation to Waikiki and we picked Sheraton Waikiki because we love their pool! Their edge pool is the best pool in waikiki. If you are a pool person then you will love this pool. Pictures dont do justice. The view from the pool is amazing. Now, if you dont care for the pool than this hotel is average. Rooms are average. I like this hotel because it has the Lenai lounge. If you have Starwood points or credit cards, this lounge will make you happy. It is nice to just go up there and grab beer, water, wine, etc for free.

One issue we did have was the room situation. We received a two double beds and I had requested for king bed. After checking in, I worked with Jennifer(sheraton guest service) and she did an amazing job. Her customer service was excellent and she made sure that we were happy. She was able get us to a king bed next day and also she checked on us the next day to see if we were satisfied. I truly appreciated her dedication to make us happy! Thank you so much Jennifer!!!

Room Tip: Higher the floor the better!! 25th to 31st floors are amazing!

Just returned from 8 nights in the Kai suite. This is our 3rd visit to the Sheraton Waikiki and our second in a Kai sweet.
Pros- good size room for family of 5.
Awesome central location.
Magnificent views complete with daily visits from turtles.
Rumfire bar & restaurant.
Club lounge view.
Our housekeeper (26th floor Kai suite) was fantastic.
Valet & bell services were great.
Staff checking wristbands of people at pool to ensure they're guests of Sheraton- this was a major issue on our last visit- pool FULL of blowins

Cons- HAVING TO PAY TO SIT ON A POOL LOUNGE WHEN IM PAYING $800+ A NIGHT TO STAY HERE. Absolutely unacceptable penny pinching. Sheraton management NOTE: this makes you look cheap not exclusive!!!! Poolside chairs are marked reserved and are patrolled by unfriendly, passive aggressive pool staff. I saw one guy told off for having his sons floaties on them- there was not one person sitting on the payed chairs at the time. Also witnessed an elderly lady sitting on the end of one while her infant grandchild played with the water at her feet- again, no one on the chairs nearby. Having come from Aulani where the guest experience is paramount, this really soured our poolside experience.
CON- my friend was charged incorrectly at check in and had $25000.00, yes twenty five thousand, pending on his AMEX. Unacceptable and incompetent to say the least! Then upon checkout, same friend had AMEX billed for both theirs and my room. Another $15000.00!!!!!! They had my CC on record for my room so it's disturbing to think how this could happen.
Club lounge- to repetitive and boring with food choices. Was much, much better 3 years ago! I wouldn't pay extra for this access anymore.
Rooms, pool area and facade need some maintenance & a makeover.
Overall a nice stay but not great one unfortunately.
I give 3.5 stars

Fantastic place in the prime location at Waikiki beach. Very friendly staff and lots of things to do in the surrounding area. Great infinity pool. The rooms are rather old and would need some upgrading.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Sheraton Waikiki and it would be our pick of family hotels in Waikiki due to its location and facilities including separate adults-only pool and a family pool with slide. It also has a fantastic bar RumFire to watch the sunset.
The daily resort charge provided access to MiFi for high-speed internet access around the island which we also found very useful.
It is located right on the beach so we could easily go between the beach and pool all day, and also right in the middle of Waikiki so easy access to shops and restaurants.
Only about 30 min walk to Ala Moana Shopping Centre or $12 taxi ride.
Our beachfront room was located on the 10th floor, the view was fantastic! We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the surf, Diamond Head and looking for turtles.
The only negative is how busy it gets around the pool and difficulty in getting chairs. You can reserve areas for an additional cost.

We stayed here for 4 nights in the Ohana suite. The suite was large and very comfortable for a group of six. The views were spectacular. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful, even giving us a late check out at no charge. The location perfect, right on the main strip overlooking the beach.

The one downside was the stench coming from the toilet. Anytime the toilet was flushed, it would smell ratchet. We didn't bother complaining, but it was almost unbearable at times. The washroom itself is a bit dates and could use a renovation. Amenities smelled great. I heard that Sheraton updated their amenities. I've never used their previous products, but these were adequate. Not as luxurious as higher end hotels, but did the job.

The final downside was loud construction. We stayed in and attempted to relax in our room during the day one day and there seemed to be a loud jackhammer or something very loud with the doors open and closed. We were on the 9th floor. Impossible to take a nap or relax on the lanai. One night around 3:00 am, there sounded like what was a loud pipe or something making noises for about 20 - 30 minutes making it difficult to fall back asleep.

We would definitely go back and stay here again, opting for a different room though!
