This open aired all you can eat buffet was the perfest solution for people like me who donn't live around the corner from WolfTrap. Plenty to choose from in a Mediterranean fusion selection

This is a buffet from local restaurants Georgia Browns & Layla that costs $31 a person plus drinks. For a restaurant that is supposedly southern (Georgia Browns) the chef ? needs to travel south to learn how to cook fried chicken & shrimp & grits. The chicken thigh I tried was dry. Anyone who is southern knows it's the gravy that makes s&g. Here it wasn't brown nor red and it had no flavor. The sausage was spicy but tasteless, the shrimp were ok but without flavor from the gravy tasted like plain boiled shrimp.
Layla's food was a tad better with crispy fried potatoes and tasty chicken schwarma but several items were heavily spicy - and I like spicy food, but not to the point that I can't taste anything else.
I tried the apple crumble for dessert. It had an odd spice that overpowered the entire dish. The cookies were bulk store bought - really for $31 the chefs could bake a batch of chocolate chips?
My advice if you eat there is stuff yourself with the fruit & salad, add a piece of bbq salmon which was edible.
Better yet, eat before you go to Wolf Trap or bring your own picnic basket.

Heading to a show at Wolf Trap and not familiar with the area so we figured Ovations would be convenient if nothing else, so we made reservations.
We were seated right away, our server was friendly and very efficient. The buffet had enough of a variety to keep us happy - the children and rice was excellent. A good desert selection as well.
The price per person was reasonable as we're the drinks.
Had a relaxing dinner in a nice room with a view and a 5 minute walk to our seats.

Ovations at Wolftrap rounds out the evening. There was a ton of food. Everything we tasted was very good. It is a buffet with plenty of choices. Our waiter was very nice and we will go back. Do make note it is on the expensive side. With two buffet meals, two drinks each and a tip it came to $140.00.

If sitting on grass and eating picnic food is just too undignified for your taste and style, than Ovations at Wolf Trap Park may fit the bill. Before each event, this tented dining space opens 2 hours or so before showtime and serves up delightful dining options with a spectacular Vista view of the Virginia woodscape. Last night I enjoyed excellent Fried chicken, pulled pork, shrimp ettoufe, chicken sliders on pita, hummus and falafels, and Caesar salad to name a few. Nice cookies, brownies and cobbler, all topped with ice cream. The wine list is decent and the staff courteous and friendly.
Overall, a nice alternative for those who do not wish to haul their dinner with them on concert night.
