“Enjoyable though started out slow”

We made a reservation at Clarity as it was a birthday dinner and we decided to try the tasting menu. I called to make a reservation and received text messages asking for any food restrictions which I found very helpful.

Upon our arrival we were immediately seated. The place was crowded and very loud. We were given menus and they took our drink order, then it seemed as if they forgot about us. We sat for 10 min before one waiter (not our waiter, apparently) finally came over to ask if we had any questions about the menu and we still hadn't received our drinks.

Eventually our drinks arrived and our waiter took our dinner order - which was very simple. We wanted the tasting menu and reminded them of our food restrictions. From there dinner was smooth. Our tasting menu consisted of a smoked scallop sashimi with a Maryland jumbo lump crab salad, ran roasted Dover sole, Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras, a protein dish I cannot recall but it was replacement for the rabbit, A5 Wagyu, and dessert. Everything was delicious, especially the foie gras and the A5 Wagyu.

At one point I walked by one of the preparation areas and noticed they were making a peach dish with these giant locally grown peaches. I remarked to our waiter how perfect they looked and asked which dessert they were for. They were making a peach sauce but not for a dessert they were serving, though he offered to cut us a couple fresh peaches for our table, gratis. The were delicious and greatly appreciated. We then had our regular dessert.

Upon leaving we were given a couple bags of freshly made bread.

While the evening started out slow, once we had our waiter things really improved and ended on a strong note. We recommend Clarity and would definitely eat here again.

Three of us were looking for a place to get away from the crowd at an industry event at Tysons. Since it was after 8:00 it only took a few minutes to get to Clarity by car. We tried the beef shortrib and duck this time. Both were great but the menu changes daily so you have to depend on a description from the waiter. The cocktails are creative and usually very good.

Been there twice since August. Really fine food. Good beers and wines. And good service. Location is poor, but the locals all know, and the place requires reservations well in advance. Everything is first rate, including the prices. We will be back soon.

The food is special. Eclectic selections among French and American. Ask for specials and recommendations because the menu is dictated by local farmers. Make sure you are hungry, because some portions are large, and you will not leave a moral behind.

Four of us dined here and right from the get go it was a great evening. Promptly seated and David, our server, arrived to quickly take our drink orders and answer a few questions about the menu, including gluten free options for the ladies.

I had the squash soup which was spot on and followed that with the pork loin entree which was outstanding; moist, tender and richly flavorful. The other entrees were equally enjoyed. All in all, a great dining experience.

It was their 60th wedding anniversary, so we wanted to take them somewhere nice.. Clarity did a great job making them feel special From the "Happy Anniversary" on the menus to the complimentary glasses of champagne, they could not have been nicer. Our server was delightful and attentive, but she didn't rush us. Food was great. 3 of us had the seafood stew - yummy. The guys had the chocolate desert and loved it. The best place to go in Vienna, VA for a special occasion - no question
