I suggest going off season, or at least, mid-week. Otherwise, a parking lot. The falls are an easy 5 minute paved walk from the parking lot. Once you reach the viewing area, large boulders and cold water await the thrill-seekers. We navigated the rocks and climbed to the top, to see the best view at the base of the falls, which was exhilarating. Be careful. There are many warnings about tourists being injured/killed climbing these rocks. Saw many tourists taking a quick tumble down the rocks into the shallow but cold water. The rocks are quite slippery so, wear boots or rugged footwear. I would still do it, again. :)

The falls were beautiful with the wisps of water floating down the face of the cliff. Moving from side to side By the wind, revealing interesting shapes in the icy formations. Plenty of people on this Saturday afternoon. Can't imagine the crowds in the summer months. Parking was available as we stopped at other sights. Unbelievable sights.

In a good year it’s awesome today just ok. Actually nothing in Yosemite is just ok. It’s a frame of mind. I try to visit each season in the Valley. Light snow in the winter, rushing stream in the spring. Warm days in the summer. And receding waterfalls in the fall. Just a frame of mind on what is superior.

I enjoy Bridalveil Falls perhaps because it is the first fall visible from the overlook. Provides a sense of arrival in a mystical place.

There wasn't much water falling when I visited in September but it was still nice to see and only a short walk from the parking.

I would strongly advise anyone not to go near the toilets, I have never gagged so hard.
