Our guide, who was very knowledgeable and competent took us to an exclusive spot to rappel down three drops, the first of which was quite long and the other too quite difficult in terms of narrow entry. Our 2 kids had a ball (aged 8 and 11) getting covered in clay and slipping around down inside the canyon. We even had a spotted owl in the audience watching us on one rappel. I felt very safe in expert hands. We didn't see another soul which was lovely. I would recommend this as a one off experience, though it wasn't cheap, it was certainly unique and worth it.
We just go back from our trip to Utah. Signed up with Red Desert Adventure for a canyoneering tour. We had a fantastic time. Eric was very professional and put us at ease right away. We totally trusted him despite the heights we rappelled. I was a beginner and it was an amazing experience. We did a 100ft rappell in the end. Beautiful canyons and scenery. Everything was excellent. Glad we had him as a guide. He made sure we enjoyed ourselves. I would give Red Desert a 6 star!!
My friends organized a 2 day canyoneering trip for my bachelor party this past spring. Matt and Nathan from Red Desert Adventure were awesome. They made the trip memorable. I would recommend this company to anyone without hesitation.
We had an amazing experience with guide "spider" Dan. He was knowledgeable, made us feel safe and yet pushed our family to get a great canyoneering day.
I highly recommend him and the company in general. Class outfit that help make a truly unforgettable day.
Took my kids (8 and 11) on a guided canyoneering tour and we had an unforgettable time! We had an instructor for the three of us. He was fantastic, very chill, very at ease with children. We hiked for maybe 30-40 minutes to the starting point. He explained and let us practice rappelling (it's very easy and you don't need prior experience) before heading down to the canyon. We chose a wet canyon so we landed in a pool of (freezing) water a few times, making the trip that much more fun. You can totally take your camera. I highly recommend the trip!
We had an incredible time doing some slot canyon repelling with Dan. Our party included my wife and two children (ages 10 & 13). Dan was patient and instructive with all of us. This was a completely unique and new experience for us. It truly made our visit to Zion special and unique. Very professional and well organized. Highly recommend.
