In the shadow of Mount Kenya, this place is not to be missed. The grounds, the buildings, the guest rooms....are all beautifully appointed and keep the traditions you would expect for the location. Situated directly on the Equator, the Fairmont offers golf, an animal orphanage, a hedge maze and wandering Peacocks and other birds for your enjoyment. The buffet lunch and breakfast was generous and tasty. We were lucky to experience a "bush dinner" just off the main property. This was served in a little outside dining room...open air....complete with fire pits and bar service. A wonderful experience if you are able to take advantage of it. Highly recommend Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club.

Room Tip: Rooms facing Mount Kenya offer immpressive views...especially in the early morning before the clouds set in.

Fantastic place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Very comfortable rooms, nice food and super friendly staff. Close to Mount Kenya and to Sweetwater Reserve for a good safari. We'll be coming back soon!

What a beautiful property! it was peaceful and serene all through. You get a great view of mount Kenya from the hotel. The turndown in the room was great with a hot water bottle to keep you warm all night.

We unfortunately only stayed one night but it was a lovely stay! If I return to Kenya I will stay at least two nights as the property is beautiful with lots of things to do and the rooms are immaculate and large. The service was great and the food was delicious. I highly recommend a visit! If you go, make sure to visit the animal orphanage at the front gates as well! Oh, and have a bush dinner - fun experience!

Fairmont Mt Kenya Safari Club has improved tremendously from the last time I was there about a year ago. A while back, service was so lethargic but this has completely changed. Amazing how the same familiar faces (staff) have changed attitude for the better. It is now a pleasant experience to spend some time in the hotel. Food has improved in leaps and bounds. Well done Fairmont Mt Kenya Safari Club for the turn-around. We had a wonderful time during our stay last month. Keep it up.
