The Tiznit hotel we stayed in doesn't seem to show up in my favorite Trip Advisor site. This hotel is not far from the much more expensive hotel across the street. Tiznit hotel is great for budget travelers on a month's trip in Morocco. Free parking, pool, largish rooms, bathroom/shower not quite up to par. We had a nice balcony with a view on the pool... which one really doesn't need in January. This hotel is on ave. Bir Anzarane. We enjoyed the hotel's restaurant, being the only clients in the "Arabic" room. The joys of off-season travel. Budget price and friendly service.

We checked in after having a few dry days in southern Morocco ! We were told they had a bar ? But later were told it was closed but they could open it ? We were the only two people in the hotel ! The room was freezing but we were assured a heater would be provided whilst we went out and about ! On our return no heater was provided ? So I asked why ? I was told it was not possible without us being there ? We decided to leave and were asked to pay half the room rate ? We refused ! And left ! There were also no lights on the floor and we had to use our phones to light our way about ? The place is a joke ! Tiznit hotel across the road was superb !

Our reviews were not published on our return last year??
Being the only two diners in the restaurant,we were presented with a congealed rice starter, deep fried chicken breast with mushy veg,and a plate of fruit.
Having toured Morocco for the past 5 years, wining and dining,we were really disappointed being offered this this from a 4* hotel.

I was in Tiznit for business, and after the beauty of the Moroccan mountains and coast wasn't that impressed with the town itself. The Hotel Idou, however, is a nice break. The lobby is gorgeous and makes the hotel look more upscale than it actually is -- Once you get upstairs to the rooms the hallways are rather sparse and unadorned.

The room was large, with a large double bed and small single bed. There was a small balcony that opened onto the main street, television with satellite, and the bathroom had a deep tub and great shower with excellent water pressure and hot water. The hotel staff, including the restaurant staff, were always very friendly. We ate several good meals in the restaurant and ordered room service twice. Breakfast is a nice spread including several kinds of bread and pastries, fresh orange juice and coffee.

My complaints -- The open design means that when there's a crowd in the lobby, the sound carries all of the way up to the rooms. The bar and lobby were also very smoky at times.
