I was apprehensive about going on a boat trip, firstly as I hate the way they are sold, the salespeople line the harbour, everyone asking you to go on their tour, which spoils what should be a pleasant walk looking at the boats. Secondly I wasn't sure it would be 'worth it' at €70 per person.
Well I can honestly say it was one of the best things to do if you're staying in this area of the island. The sailors Callo and Vincenzo were friendly, funny, relaxed but also professional. They put you at ease and help everyone integrate.
The tour takes you to some of the most beautiful beaches imaginable. White sands, clear blue sea and an abundance of fish to look at with a snorkel (which is provided, however does smell a bit of diesel!)
Half way round they provided a feast of antipasti, then a simple yet tasty pasta dish. And a seemingly never ending supply of booze to wash it down with.
On the way round Callo points out all of the notable land marks and locations and gives information on them, with some light hearted jokes thrown in.
So simply if you're unsure whether to go on this trip or not as I was, all I can say now is 'do it.'
Grazie Callo & Vincenzo.
