Stayed here for a ten day break on a B and B basis. The hotel is very modern and reasonably well kept though the carpet in the long corridors have been stained which is a shame. We had an ongoing problem with the air con the maid always set to 24c which at night was too hot we had to keep changing down to 22c. It would of been nice if our shower gel was topped up as we ran out. The nightly chocolate on the pillow was always very welcome 😋.
We found the staff though polite, were not particularly friendly unlike other Italian hotels we’ve stayed in where maybe staff have been older and more experienced, here everyone is young and not interested in their guests.
We ate in the Ma pizzeria one night, service was awful and pizza was burnt with a soggy bottom when I told the waitress the response was “ it’s difficult to regulate the oven” surely if you know a pizza hasn’t been cooked correctly you don’t serve and try again. Shame as if they had served decent pizza we would of ordered takeout to take to the beach for a picnic
The pool area was ok though small , which wasn’t a problem as there appeared to be plenty of uncomfortable sun beds. In a 5* I would expect cushioning still it meant we walked to the local beaches which were lovely rather than being lazy by the pool.
Price of drinks and food was expensive at the hotel that was definitely 5* prices. We couldn’t eat breakfast outside due to too many smokers and mozzies. Note to hotel to provide non smoking tables away from smokers.
The shuttle bus was great which we used every evening returning from our night in town lots of lovely restaurants to try. We walked into town every evening as it’s only a 20 minute/2 kilometre walk to keep the holiday weight off, not bad for a couple of 60 year olds 😉
All in all despite the irritations we had a lovely holiday, the location for us was perfect as even without a car we could walk to little deserted beaches for peace and tranquillity. Note though this was the beginning of October, maybe it is busy and noisy at the height of the season.

We were there, the two of us for a week. We enjoyed the stay very much. The staff is very friendly and does speak a good English. The restaurant at night we never experienced as we preferred to go to the city instead. Therefore we had acces the pool area which is rather small for teh whole of the complex, the breakfast room / restaurant which is also rather cramped and full. Therefore the pool area is used for the breakfast guests. We also had acces to the spa area, however we experienced that swimwear was compulsary, in a spa area ! This was quite an experience. All in all a very nice nice hotel though it has some set backs as wel as its pricing.

Room tip: do not ask for low numbered rooms as these are next to the kitchen and delivery area

It’s clean and fine. However quite cheap and tacky, many basics were wrong which others have mentioned, and under-qualified staff that badly need training.

You need a car as it’s a fair way from town.

It might be the nicest in La Maddalena. Expect 3 star and shop online for a discounted rate and it’ll seem ok. :-)

this hotel was one of the few places here that had a pool which was good as its a bit of a walk to the beach. The rooms were good as was the food. its a good location if you want a low key break in a small island

There has already been a lot said about this hotel. In general you are not going wrong in booking this hotel. It is by far the best on this lovely Archipello. The setting of the swimming pool is fantastic and beautifully crafted into the landscape. The rooms are clean, nice and equipped to the standard. Well, the standard by international comparisons is though definitely not five stars. Why not? Just a couple of examples. While you are sitting outside for breakfast the staff is busy cleaning the restaurant with a Hoover of course with the doors wide open. The breakfast buffet is all the same everyday with not very tasty bread. The orange juice is not freshly made, an absolute no go in a five star. And don’t hope to feel welcome by the front staff. Their friendliness is a Desaster. Or then the Spa and Fitness staff. I wonder why they did choose their job and were hired. Not all are the same though. The pool and bar at the pool staff is great and the room service staff outstanding. They are five star. One last note, we recommend to rent a car since the hotel is outside of town and there is a lot to see on the island or main land.
