Stayed at the Jin Jiang for a couple of nights in April. Even so Taicang is just 40 km from downtown Shanghai, the level of quality here seems to be far further away. Hotel is a bit worn down and out of time (reminded me in some ways of the 1990 here in china) and could need some refurbishment, at least new carpets. Otherwise it's pretty convenient and seems to do it's basic job: host business travelers visiting their production sites here in the area.

I stayed in the Ludo Hotel in May for the World Cup Race Walking and from the moment I arrived until I departed I was impressed with the place as well as the staff and the volunteers who were assigned for the event.
Our special volunteer was Fisher who was an extremely pleasant person. She was able to communicate with both staff and myself and the various teams who were staying at the Ludu.
I never had the pleasure to thank Fisher but I feel she is special.
A very special person.

Room Tip: The entire Hotel was nice a little dated in some areas however I rate it highly as my stay was very enjoyable.

We were very surprise about this hotel, very nice people on reception (overall english speakers), room cleaner tall woman was very kind (I don't remember her name), and what about restaurant service on breakfast, excellent, specially Zu Yu Hua and Lei Zhen Hua.

I normally stay in this hotel after spending 10 hours of flying to Shanghai.
It is a good business hotel with free wifi, great breakfasts and a comfortable bed.
One of the few Chinese business hotels that successfully understands and caters for foreigner business people. Well worth the effort.
