Villa Maresca is a very special place to stay. It was the best experience of my life. It gives you a sense of being right at home. Very comfortable, very clean, and a place where you can enjoy nature. It is a central location to every place you want to do day trips too. Location is the best! The breakfast is always organic, grown from the garden. Villa Maresca also has a wood oven in the garden area where they can cook homemade pizza. The fruits and veggies are always picked fresh from the garden. Even the jam is freshly made with blackberries from the tree and the orange juice freshly squeezed from the orange trees. This is such a special villa to stay at. It was such a wonderful atmosphere. Maria is the best host ever!!! She is kind, hospitable, beautiful, and has a great sense of humor. She always greets you with a smile on her face too! Breakfast is yummy! 5 Stars!!!!!!!

Quite difficult to locate but well worth it. Rooms are good size, clean and good shower. Could do with water in fridge every day. Maria will give you a private tour of her lovely orange, lemon, walnut and peach orchards. The orange juice is amazing. The breakfast, well, i have never seen anything like it - a banquet of fresh home produce. An amazing cook and host. Easy to get into town from here by bus / taxi and if you fancy Amalfi Coast boat trip very cheap and they collect and drop off from the front door. Thoroughly recommended.

It was our second stay at Villa Maresca after a wonderful first visit in September 2014. It gets only better each time and definitely it remains our top choice, when visiting this fantastic region of Italy. The hosts are the most helpful, friendly and hospitable people one can come across and this is one of the main reasons why we wouldn't even consider another place. Villa Maresca is a great base for exploring Sorrento area and the Amalfi coast. Federica also works as a tour guide and can provide you with invaluable information and assistance during your stay. Maria's garden is a piece of heaven so the guests can taste oranges, mandarins and lemons from the tree. For breakfast you will find homemade cakes and superb jams. On our last day of the trip me and my girlfriend fell ill so the hosts took very good care for us, provided us with refreshments and even thermometer and medicines. We can't recommend enough Villa Maresca and can't wait to be back in the near future.

Staying at Villa Maresca was like staying at a very good friends private home. We were well cared for by the family that lived there and they were very hospitable. Everyday they were there to greet you with a beautiful breakfast of FRESH organic foods from their grove and garden prepared lovingly. Maria, the mother, is a lovely and giving lady who gives the love and soul to Villa Maresca. You can tell she cares deeply to make this house a home for all who stay there. Maria's husband, son and daughter all are very helpful.
We had the pink room with a private balcony and another shared balcony that overlooks the Gulf of Naples in the distance. The room was spacious and comfortable and had a small refrigerator and tea kettle with tea or coffee supplies. However, we just went down to have our coffee with breakfast.
The place is as lovely as the photos online and they can arrange tours if you want and they have room for parking. My husband and I loved wandering through their gardens and orchard after breakfast.
There are very tasty restaurants nearby (Berantania has the most awesome pizza!) and the neighborhood is quiet and safe.
There is a busline just a couple of blocks from the house about one half block down from the church (bus is marked META) that you can take to Piazza Cota in Piano di Sorrento where there are restaurants and from there you can take another bus into Sorrento if you want or you can walk downhill from Villa Maresca and catch a SORRENTO bound bus at the roundabout circle and it will stop behind the Sorrento train station. From there it is an easy walk down to Piazza Tasso, the main square in Sorrento (It would be good to have a map or ask someone the direction down to the Piazza). Catch the bus back to Villa Maresca on Corso Italia and take the Bus marked META. The bus will stop about 1/2 block from the church near Villa Maresca. It is best to hold out your arm to show the driver you want to be picked up. Otherwise, they can pass you up. By your bus tickets at the TABACCHI store on the corner by the church (they are closed during siesta hours) Bus tickets are 1.2 Euro each way. Ask Antonio for more precise location of bus stops.
I think Villa Maresca is perfect as a base for day trips by personal car. It is a little far away for easy quick access to tour Amalfi coast and Capri. However, there are a few tours that can be booked that will pick you up at the Villa. They are also planning on having private touring available from Villa Maresca in the near future.
I had a small health issue while there and Maria was so helpful and concerned and even loaned me her blood measure monitor for as long as I needed it (my doctor wanted my BP monitored several times a day for 24 hours).
My husband and I definitely recommend Villa Maresca!

Room tip: Loved the Pink room! Had a private and a shared balcony with a sea view.

We stayed a week with this amazing Italian family. The host Maria was a warm hearted mother who took care of us like her own family. Maria spoke good English and helped us to plan our daily itineraries. She also gave us a cooking lesson of the vegetables from her garden.

The rooms were really cosy with a local style decoration and very good amenities. We were travelling with a small baby and she arranged a baby cot for us. In many other Italian B&Bs breakfast is just coffee and a croissant, but here every breakfast was a feast of many local sweet and savory treats. Location was great since we could easily do many day trips to Amalfi coast, Sorrento, Capri and Pompeii with a car. In the evenings, we parked the car in their gated garden and walked to some great neighborhood restaurants.

This is an absolutely great place to stay if you want to visit different places and feel like at home. We will go back if we visit the area again.
