Located in Piano, Italy just a short bus ride from Sorrento is Villa Maresca. This is a piece of heaven for travellers. And it is a train stop from Naples to Sorrento.
Upon arrival we were met by the hostess, Maria. What a delightfully wonderful woman. We felt immediately at home. As we were shown to our room a pitcher of freshly squeezed lemonade, made from the lemons of the villa, was delivered to our patio. The room was gorgeous, fresh and clean, cool air conditioning to combat the 35 degree Celsius temperature. The room had a front terrace with an evening cool breeze and views of the mountains on one side and the Mediterranean on the other. This room also had a rear terrace for private sunbathing.
Everything was spotless. The bed was so comfortable that any tension or tiredness melted away. Breakfast? Come hungry. What a spread! Fresh cakes and pastries, hot vegetable delicacies, antipasta plates, fresh preserves and breads and sitting on the main terrace with nature all around you. The staff could not be sweeter or more accommodating. What a way to spend our last two days in Italy! The quiet and serenity away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. Just soak in the ambience. Would return here in a heartbeat!!!

We stayed at Villa Maresca for 3 nights and absolutely loved it! The highlight for us was Maria's home grown, home cooked breakfast every morning - we will definitely miss this very much. The fresh orange juice and omelette with zucchini flowers were delicious. We stayed in the pink room which is spacious and well maintained. In addition to the culinary delights at Villa Maresca - there is a daily cleaning service, good water pressure in the shower, and private parking (though it is not a good idea to bring a very big car as the entrance is narrow). We cannot wait to return to Villa Maresca!

Villa Maresca is a very special place to stay. It was the best experience of my life. It gives you a sense of being right at home. Very comfortable, very clean, and a place where you can enjoy nature. It is a central location to every place you want to do day trips too. Location is the best! The breakfast is always organic, grown from the garden. Villa Maresca also has a wood oven in the garden area where they can cook homemade pizza. The fruits and veggies are always picked fresh from the garden. Even the jam is freshly made with blackberries from the tree and the orange juice freshly squeezed from the orange trees. This is such a special villa to stay at. It was such a wonderful atmosphere. Maria is the best host ever!!! She is kind, hospitable, beautiful, and has a great sense of humor. She always greets you with a smile on her face too! Breakfast is yummy! 5 Stars!!!!!!!

Quite difficult to locate but well worth it. Rooms are good size, clean and good shower. Could do with water in fridge every day. Maria will give you a private tour of her lovely orange, lemon, walnut and peach orchards. The orange juice is amazing. The breakfast, well, i have never seen anything like it - a banquet of fresh home produce. An amazing cook and host. Easy to get into town from here by bus / taxi and if you fancy Amalfi Coast boat trip very cheap and they collect and drop off from the front door. Thoroughly recommended.

It was our second stay at Villa Maresca after a wonderful first visit in September 2014. It gets only better each time and definitely it remains our top choice, when visiting this fantastic region of Italy. The hosts are the most helpful, friendly and hospitable people one can come across and this is one of the main reasons why we wouldn't even consider another place. Villa Maresca is a great base for exploring Sorrento area and the Amalfi coast. Federica also works as a tour guide and can provide you with invaluable information and assistance during your stay. Maria's garden is a piece of heaven so the guests can taste oranges, mandarins and lemons from the tree. For breakfast you will find homemade cakes and superb jams. On our last day of the trip me and my girlfriend fell ill so the hosts took very good care for us, provided us with refreshments and even thermometer and medicines. We can't recommend enough Villa Maresca and can't wait to be back in the near future.
