We were there for a few days for an Italian wedding while our friends house was full to capacity & we were immediately made welcome by Veronica who could not do enough for us - we had top floor suite which was very spacious & comfortable. The highlight was breakfast on the balcony overlooking the lake - if you are visiting Anguillara - book in here - siamo al settimo cielo! Mille grazie Veronica e Pietro!

I selected this place because I really wanted a couple of days at a lake in between stays in Florence and Rome and I wasn't disappointed. The place itself is very friendly, and Veronica is absolutely lovely and so helpful. When we arrived, we didn't know what to do though, as there hadn't been any instructions and I was kind of expecting someone to be there. Fortunately one of the other guests came back while I was milling around and he said to call Veronica - she came and met us and everything was fine

Our room was large which was great, and it was connected to the communal / kitchen balcony, so this meant we had an amazing view of the little street/houses below, as well as the lake. Literally a stunning view and amazing at sunset, we were so happy to be looking out that direction. The balcony was shared obviously - which wasn't a problem - we got on well with the other guests, but it's worth noting if you are expecting to have private time

The kitchen and bathroom are also communal, but again wasn't an issue for us. All the facilities you need are there, and there is plenty of food available there for you to help yourself to at breakfast.

The only complaints I would have would be the heat, and the lack of a safe. There was no air conditioning in the room we had, so the first night we had there it was unbearably hot. Veronica bought us a fan unit for the second night, but even with this, it was pretty tough going. As it's a small place I can understand, but I think it would be worth the investment because during the summer months, it really is too hot - and given that we were leading onto the communal balcony, we didn't really want to leave our door open. The safe, not a big deal and I felt pretty secure there overall, but I think it's always nice to have, especially with different guests checking in and out - makes me feel more comfortable to leave certain things behind

Overall, I would definitely recommend and would stay there again in a heart beat

Six of us shared the 3 bedrooms in this wonderful house. Triple BLUE room was very large with a big window overlooking the piazza, double RED room was used as a single with similar window, the 2nd double GREEN room was used as a twin with a 3rd small bed inside; this room had access to the balcony. We all shared one bathroom and it was never a problem since we had different sleep cycles. My friends indulged me for this choice of destination because of the Everybody Loves Raymond episode which I have watched countless times. Everyone loved Veronica, the view and the neighborhood with 3 very good restaurants a stones throw away and a charming piazza bar steps away with cheap drinks. The entire city is very affordable and not touristy. There was even a festival going on outside our windows and fireworks seen from the balcony. The eel themed fountain (symbol of the lake)was not only a water supply for our many walks but also the site for wedding photos. It was as gorgeous a view from the fountain as from our balcony above it. It was very hot and the many steps of this steep town are not for everyone, like me, but I was content with sitting on that balcony and soaking in the view most of the time. Wifi worked perfectly. Veronica presented a lovely breakfast each morning including coffee and eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit and pastries. What a personality! A slightly larger shower would have been nice, but it is , after all, Italy. There is not much shopping in the town, but the restaurants and bars were great. Swimming is possible. Although not the best beach, the water is clean. Loved staying here.

My goofy friend watches too much TV. When planning our trip he tells me that he wants to go where they shot the Italian episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond. So I google it and find this lovely town and this amazing B&B. The view from the terrace is indescribably beautiful. The rooms are spacious and Veronica was as hospitable a host as you can find. Her son Diego was so much fun. The town is perfect, wonderful authentic food everywhere. And did I mention the view? Stunning.

We stayed here for 2 nights after visiting Rome, we were greeted by Veronica who showed us straight to our room, then opened the balcony door!!!!! Wow wow wow!! What a view it brought me to tears. The rooms are clean and a good size the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was just next door. Breakfast in the morning was massive with cake, cereal, yogurt, toast, eggs, bacon, croissants and the best cappuccino. The only down side was we didn't stay long enough. Felt relaxed from the moment we arrived.xxxx
