Description: Parkers is a family run business aiming to give you good home cooked tasty food at very reasonably prices, with very friendly service. All our food is sourced locally, and freshly prepared to order. We have a Separate dairy, gluten wheat free menu available. Parkers History- Plans have been approved for the renovation of Parkers, which will see the upper half of the building being transformed into an eight bedroom Bed and Breakfast. The 19th century haberdashery and millards was turned into London House Cafe, followed by the famous National Milk Bar. As one of Newtown's oldest buildings, this will help attract visitors, as well as creating employment and commercial opportunities. The investment is being made by Tina and Mike Lovatt, owners of the property, who also run Parkers eatery on the ground floor. The eatery has remained open through the majority of the renovation work and will go hand in hand with the new business.

Visited late morning with family for breakfast when travelling through based on previous reviews. The premises are very well kept and decor of high standard. Access is great for mobility issues as no steps to enter and bathroom facilities on ground level. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The choice and quality of food is excellent. We all had breakfasts and thoroughly enjoyed them. The bacon and sausages were especially good. Prices are very reasonable and excellent value for money. We won’t hesitate to return.

Having spent many years travelling to South Wales and stopping at disappointing restaurants, this year we decided to stop in Newtown and visit Parkers. The place was warm and welcoming and very nicely decorated with no steps, which is ideal for my husband who uses a wheelchair. We ordered the All day breakfast, which was actually too much and the Light breakfast which was delicious and very good value for money. We were given the choice of smoked bacon and brown bread for toast and altered some of the items on the menu. The meals were very good value for money and the service very pleasant.

Visited today with three friends
One had the tomato soup said it was lovely
One had a gluten free sandwich, commented they would have liked something more substantial as a side instead of the salad.
One had the hallumi salad which looked wonderful
I had the tomato, mozzarella and pesto salad which was gorgeous.

Pleasant staff , lovely clean surroundings.

Exceptionally clean toilets

Absolutely worth a visit

Very reasonably priced too !

Very freindly relaxed atmosphere. Reasonably priced, I only had a coffee but I enjoyed it and felt relaxed and unhurried.
