We really enjoyed our stay here. The view from the restaurant/pool area is stunning - I could gaze at it for hours. Plus, the hotel is walking distance to Praia do Sueste (OK snorkelling, but go to hang out with the baby lemon sharks at the water's edge and watch them fish) and Praia do Leiao (perhaps my favourite beach on the island - wild and beautiful, with no one else there).

The room was comfortable and had what we needed. Fernando de Noronha is very expensive for what it is, but it is a small island far from everything else, so that is to be expected.

One nice thing was that you could have breakfast (included) whenever you wanted, regardless of time of day. This should be the standard everywhere! The staff at breakfast were a bit difficult to communicate with and orders weren't always as expected, despite us speaking a bit of Portuguese.

I cannot say enough about the kind and friendly service that we experienced at the pousada! Many thanks to Diana, Grace, Fabio, Damian, and Diago. They were happy yo provide us with anything we needed, and shared stories of their lives and travels. They even offered to make us a pizza when we were craving "American" food. The view it stunningly beautiful, and we spent many hours on the main pool deck.
The bungalows are well suppled and have good AC, I will say that they are rustic and small.I did not encounter any large insect or frogs at all. we saw the occasional iguana and a few small lizards could be found scurrying around. F de N is a beautiful island and this is the place to stay for sure!! It is not a place for kids however-very little for them to do and mainly couples here.

Let's keep in mind that Noronha is a tiny island in the middle of nowhere. Do no expect an amazing structure, but definitely the best is the Maravilha Pousada. No internet, thoug. Some harmeless lizards, but one of the most amazing views of the islands.
Best than Hawaii to see turtles.
Hotel food is really good, but it is the slow food process, keep that in mind, and enjoy the view.

Room Tip: don`t go for the apartments, the bugalows are the best call. With a nice "ofuro" on it!

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We wanted something romantic and we were not disappointed. The pousada is breathtaking! Our cottage was wonderful and the view spectacular. Everything that we ate in the restaurant was 5 star, as well as the service. The real surprise at Pousada Maravilha was that we felt "at home" in such a luxurious setting. There is no "snobbery" here despite exceptional service and lodgings. Thank you for an unforgettable 20th Wedding anniversary!

Room Tip: All cottages are great!

After a 2-minute ride from the small airport, we were walking into the spacious, beautifully atmosphered Pousada Maravilha, being greeted by an amazing staff and view. We sat comfortably near the infinity pool, drinking complimentary champagne, and eating sliced fruit, and cheese, while a staff member checked us in. Then Maria, the General Manager (who is responsible for the extremely well-run and maintained pousada) came by and very pleasantly addressed us in English. Soon we were escorted to our bungalow, and we were immediately very pleased with our choice. To our left was the large sink area, complete with coffee maker and mini-frig, robes, big towels, toiletries, and hair dryer (lots of counter space), and to our right was a very good-sized separate shower room. The bed (amazing linens!) with a mosquito-netted topping, is in the center of the room (other side of the wall from the sink area), providing an excellent view. The bathroom is on the opposite side of the room from the shower, and is, again, in a nice-sized separate room. This room set up, coupled with the spacious covered porch with a small hot tub, cushioned seating area with big, clean comfortable pillows (where we spent a lot of time!), table with two chairs, and a heavenly hammock, really made our trip to Fernando de Noronha an amazing vacation. Why? Because many of the beaches are an adventure to get to. Pousada Maravilha arranged to have a dune buggy there for us when we arrived. It is a great way to see the small island, and much better than walking (or taking a taxi) down the dirt (often somewhat rocky) roads, leading to the remaining walkway (or the few challenging descents) to the beaches. And, unless you have a beach umbrella with you, it's hard to stay on the beach very long in the hot sun. We tried to rent a boat, but there was a holiday in the middle of our stay. After a few 3-5 hour filled days of these adventures, you'll see the value in coming "home" to the luxury and special attention of Maravilha. Oh, and you can have any meal brought to your room as room service. Anything that is on the regular menu. Nice! The food--simply wonderful. Yes, it's the same breakfast every morning (except for the sweet served at the end), but it is a nice variety of things. We had an omelet or eggs every morning. The few meals we did have out didn't quite compare to the quality and service right at the pousada, with its stunning view and atmosphere. That was our opinion. There are beautiful massage rooms, a cute boutique, and the grounds are kept impeccable. The privacy, peacefulness, and superb attention to detail and customer service, we think, made the difference in our trip to this beautiful island, and made for a wonderful birthday vacation. One tip: Pay the tourist tax online before you arrive. It's much faster once your arrive at the airport to just go into the next room for your bags.

Room Tip: Bungalow was very quiet and peaceful at night
