Nice location in the middle of the desert about 50 minutes and 250 Dirhams (one way) from Dubaï down town. Nice rooms and very friendly service. You will certainly like the camel ride of this is your first expérience but we found the entertainment program very basic.
Regarding the restaurant it is not at all at the level of what à 5 stars hôtel should provide. The place is poor no décoration nothing magic not even à pièce of oriental atmosphere. The food is acceptable far away from what you could expect
Overall nice place but overpriced

I brought my husband here for 4 days for a birthday treat. I thought from the reviews it maybe pretentious but it isn't. The staff are excellent and make you most welcome. They treat everyone as a valued guest and go out of their way to ask & to ensure you have everything you need to make the most of your stay.
It may seem expensive but it's worth every dhm. Chef David Miras, all of his chefs, the restaurant staff and everyone from F & B make sure you have anything you want and provide the very best in quality, preparation and style of cuisine. The only down point is You will gain weight as the food offered is impossible to resist
The housekeeping staff at the villas go quietly about their work without bothering anyone but you will find they have catered for your every need - always with the most welcoming smiles.
If you can't afford to go to Al Maha on a whim then make sure you go for a special occasion. It is better to go for just a few nights here than for a week anywhere else.

Room Tip: All the villas seem to be set alone and none feel overlooked. Some have further to walk to the restaurant but you can always call for a buggy to drive you

We only came to this resort as day trippers (a bit out of our budget otherwise) and I wondered if we would be treated as second class guests...but quite the opposite. The staff were all lovely, and many had worked there for years, which together with their attitude suggested they are treated well unlike in many places in Dubai. The food was spectacular, every single thing we ordered was delicious, not pretentious but special, great quality, well cooked. Spa and pool beautiful, and truly felt all-inclusive, great coffee, snacks, fruit, tea, water etc all available throughout the day. Its extravagant but well worth it for a special celebration. Desert trips/activities quite short, but really interesting to get out from the city and see a bit of nature.

Everything you could ever want! Staff can't do enough to ensure you have the best possible time, the food is out of this world, and the surroundings are just amazing! Each member of staff was more friendly and helpful than the last. To swim in the infinity pool and look out on to the camels and antelopes wandering around the resort, with miles of desert in the background while the sun went down was what dreams are made of. Can't wait to return!

This place is incredible. The people working here are fantastic, the activities were great and the food is the BEST that I has anywhere in UAE! My activities director was Darron, and he hustled like no one I had ever seen at these kinds of places. He went out of his way to ensure that we got to do every single thing that we wanted to while we were out there. I say skip Dubai and go straight to the Al Maha.

Room Tip: All the rooms are isolated from other rooms, so where ever you are, you have your own private little piece of desert heaven.
