we ate there a number of times, and were not disappointed. the situation is very good, it is a large airy place with lots of fans. the staff were attentive and pleasant, chef frequently came out and he was clean and crisp. we had a number of dishes including the broiled steak, and although the steak was not chargrilled, they were cooked well and tender.(rare was our request).overall, good food , value for money.

Very rarely populated with more than just a couple of diners....which is usually a concern, but the area is quite big and it still looks somewhat empty with even a few customers. However we gave it a try and were quite pleased. The menu is fairly large but we kept to the basics of chicken and fish. Service was good and meal well presented, could have had more flavour. Might go back again

The choice is good and service with a smile. Have been visiting for over 10 years and the standard remains good.

After reading other reviews of Magic 1 decided to give it a go and left a little disappointed. Drinks were cold tiger for me and a glass of white for my partner and the overall ambience was very nice with great music playing. Order mixed satay for starters my partner had lobster with cheese sauce and grilled prawns very fresh and tasty although she did comment the cheese sauce was a little too much and overwhelmed the lobster. I ordered Nasi Goreng my stable Asia trip dish and was disappointed by the flavour. While there was plenty of chicken and prawns within it was extremely spicy and not all pleasant to eat. I do understand that nasi goreng is a spicy rice dish however this one just had too much chilli also disappointed that I had to request the prawn crackers that were meant to come with the dish only to receive papadams instead. Would we go back back probably at a pinch however I would order something different.

Walked past every evening like everyone comments they have because it's never really full. After speaking with a few people at our hotel who had been and said it was ok we decided to give it a go . This is a proper restaurant with chairs and linen including napkins !
We had prawn cocktail in a pineapple - satay skewers both fab . Calamari little overcooked and prawns in martini sauce good but strange. Cheesecake to follow - fab . Service was very good and very smiley !
