Unfortunately, I have to leave poor review and poor rating for this hotel because of the incident that happened to me at the hotel last week. I was refilling my water bottle at water dispenser near the pool area but received a mean comment from the staff who was looking after it. He said that I shouldn't be doing that because other guests needed to have a drink as well implying that I was taking too much water. Wow! For a 4 star hotel, you are saying that one guest taking less than 1 litre of water could diminish others from having a drink of water. You can't even refill that water? It's very unpleasant to see that for a hotel that is so proud of their greenery, they served single use paper cups for guests that will be trash because it is not recyclable. I understand hotels will talk about their environmental initiatives regarding saving on washing bed linens but why couldn't you just serve water in reusable cups? Is that so hard? And to have your staff make such a remark for refiling our water bottle. You may have your environmental initiatives but please educate your staff about being eco-friendly. It's quite simple. Sadly, you have lost me at that.

Had dinner here . The buffee was extremely good, plenty of variety even for vegetarian and gluten free. The staff were very friendly and the service was good.
The buffee with a class of wine was £26 great value.

This was our fifth time we have stayed here, last time 14years ago. The rooms are a bit tired looking but are slowly being renovated. The rooms are very clean by very friendly staff that are willing to make your stay a memorable one, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing catering for everyone, if you were still hungry it was your own fault. Smorgasbord dinner was absolutly awesome with both hot and cold food to choose from. Can't speak highly enough of all the staff we came in contact with, fantastic, we'll be back for sure.

Room tip: Rooms on the left side of the resort don't get the afternoon sun.

We stayed at Golden Sands for a week and it was a really wonderful stay. Every member of staff was very friendly and helpful. Location of hotel was good with eating places nearby, although food in hotel was quite reasonable, the inclusive breakfast buffet provided for all tastes and was excellent. The evening dinner buffet was also very good. There was always plenty of staff on hand to help with anything you required. The hotel led on to beach with security guards at hotel to prevent intruders entering the hotel grounds.The night market started from outside the hotel and bartering was quite enjoyable. We would certainly recommend a stay.

Room tip: Lovely rooms with view of sea and pool areas.

I always loved Golden Sands Resort, it becomes an annual destination for our big family gathering of close to 20 people. The pools are good for kids, access to the beach that is connected to the resort. Adventure Land is also offered next to the hotel, along with a football field. Our family always play mini football games as we bring our own ball and net.
