Stayed here previously but not reviewed. I only stayed a night after a wedding reception at the hotel. Swift check in with friendly front of house staff. You will appreciate the spacious lobby with a vast seating in the bar/lounge area. The bar/lounge staff was friendly. It did get a bit warm in the seating area as the fans are quite high up the ceiling.They should consider to have bigger fans or some fans at a lower levels. I had a room with a sea view but that was hampered by the dreaded haze!! The room was clean with plenty of toiletries, coffee/tea making facilities and bottles of water etc. The chamber staff reminded me of the hotels I stayed in Bali and Chiangmai. They are genuinely friendly and greeted me with smiles along the corridor and some even ask how my room was. That's a sign of a very well trained team. The buffet breakfast was too crowded even before 09:00 and the buffet area was too tiny for that amount of people to move around to get their breakfast!! That was a killjoy!! The lady showing us to our table was unfriendly and did not even smile!!! I guessed that she was stressed by the numbers of people coming down for breakfast. We were not in the restaurant but sitting on the side of the restaurant along a walkway. It was the most unenjoyable breakfast!!! (GM please take...Stayed here previously but not reviewed. The wedding reception I attended was held in the garden. Amidst the haze and it was quite warm outside, there were no fans provided. Half way through the wedding reception, it started to rain. We were ushered to the first floor banqueting room BUT the the room was not set up!!!

I did not see the banqueting manager but a lot of hard working staff having to move all the chairs from the garden reception to the first floor. It took quite a while for the whole thing to be set up again and all the food transported to the first floor. By then half of the guests had left the venue. How very rediculous!!

Should Park Royal not provide a contingency plan to set up the banqueting room??? In any case and it does rain this time of year!!! Where was the banqueting manager in all this??

The rooms are not cheap by any means but you get what you pay for. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and you get space around this hotel. Perhaps, the management should seriously look into how to improve their buffet breakfast seatings. One suggestion is to enlarge the buffet counter area for easy access and to extend the seating area by making use of some of the garden space.More
