Beautiful beach for surfing and relaxing and watching sunset. We were here during dry season so no rain in sight. It did get pretty hot but on those days we just relaxed in the shade. Water was never cold and waves were always perfect.

Lovely white beach, with lots of surfers, yet a great beach for anyone to go into the water. Wonderful to walk or run or just sit and people watch! Lots of families too! You just can’t get enough of it!
Loved this beach and vibe! Great waves and warm water. It wasn't overly busy at any time, such a gorgeous place to watch the sunset and just enjoy the day! I took a surfing lesson here and loved it!
Beautiful beach, especially in the morning between 5:30 and 8 am. Very clean, many surfers and a few dogs (the friendly ones).
Choose a nice bar on the beach in the evening to watch an unforgettable sundown. Be there before 5:30 pm !
We love Santa Teresa but is not a place for everyone. The best is to understand this place before you go in order to avoid inconveniences and to get the most out of your trip. If you love surfing, young crowds and healthy food, you will probably love Santa Teresa.
To one and all! If you would like to relax in one of the most natural places in Costa Rica, Santa Teresa is that place!
This was our first of hopefully many more trips to this most hospitable and non pretentious places in Central America!
Our first thought when we arrived was OMG what did we do! It was a very dusty surf town with a lot of younger people and we thought we were out of place! Well, it didn’t take long to adjust and fit in as we were so welcomed! There is plenty of choices for dinner and breakfasts! And honestly, everyplace we visited was incredible! Not one bad experience!
Our favourites were Ani’s, Eat Street, Swarts, the Bakery and too many more! Places to rest range from basic hostels to Airbnb! So choices are great there as well!
Ok , the beach, I was struggling to come up with a fitting comment, the beach is a Natural Wonder! No touristy gimmicks ! The Sunsets were out of this world! We felt very safe to walk about day and evening, and we walked a lot!
Visit the Banana Beach Bar for sunset! Awesome experience!!
This is a very dusty and at times busy surf town but once you feel the vibe you will fall in love as we did!
We are in our sixties but didn’t mean anything here!
Can’t wait to return!
