We had two connecting rooms with nice views. Very accommodating staff. Great choice at breakfast buffet and not too crowded. We truly enjoyed a Greek night with fun entertainment. Lots of different pools and areas for sitting and lounging. Dinner upstairs at the beach area was very good but slow !!

We were there early May 2018. At that time the season has not really started so no big crowds. Unfortunately too much wind to lie on the beach. Price / quality ratio really great. We stayed "half pension" on the beach side. This has the advantage that you can have breakfast at the beach. Drinks and snacks in between are quite pricey, but there are plenty of shops within walking distance to get cheap (er) stuff. Nice buffets in the morning and in the evening. Strikingly friendly and helpful staff. There was even a knock on the door every evening to ask if we needed towels or something else. Not all excursions can be booked in May. We did the 4x4 wheels drive, a lot of bumps and a lot of dust but liked the adventure. And visited Chania by bus.

We've stayed in the imperial suites with private pool. Clean, good food, service right at the beach. We had breakfast at the beachrestaurant everyday. In my opinion great for adults, but not much for children. We didn't use our private pool much. The sun didn't reach the pool and due to that it was quite cold. The sun only reached the pool at the end of the day. That was a bit disapointing. However, we did have a spectacular view! I would definitly come back one day.

Our stay in Minoa Palace Resort was unforgettable. The service we received was amazing and everyone is super friendly. We never had to wait to be served as there were always lots of waiters and staff around. The breakfast was lush and dinners we only had dinner out once (just to try a local restaurant). They change things up every night so you surely won't get tired of having the same food.
The hotel has a mini market, which has almost everything and is very reasonably priced.
The hotel is VERY clean and the pool is never too busy or overcrowded - we were always able to find sun beds. Also, reserving sunbeds is not allowed (I got told off for doing that once).
Chania is a 30-minute bus ride away (which you can get just outside the hotel). Or if you fancy a stroll after dinner, Platanias is only a 10-minute walk. There are lots of restaurants, bars, and shops that you can wander into. I would love to go back there - HIGHLY RECOMENDED!

Special event (or simply a great vacation) in Crete Greece? Minoa Palace is THE venue. My only regret is taking so long to shower this hotel with thank yous for making our family reunion THE BEST. The entire staff went out of their way to insure the event was special. No request was too small. The attention to detail and follow through created a Super WOW. The property is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. We had an amazing service experience from every member of the staff we met. The front desk reception was so welcoming we knew we’d made the right choice the instant we arrived, the restaurant staff was superb, and we can not say enough about Guest Relations. A special thank you to Manolis Vardalkis, Guest Relations Manager, who never acted as if we were asking for too much and consistently offering excellent suggestions, even ones off property. We had an excellent welcome reception, the Presidential Suite is perfect for this. The bar and beach area is great for casual family gatherings. Our farewell dinner was amazing, excellent Greek cuisine, Manolis secured a bouzouki player and loukomathes (Greek donuts) made to order. The dance party after was incredible with a happy engaged staff making sure we had a good time. I can’t say enough about The Minoa Palace, a beautiful magical reunion made even more so by the amazing property, staff, and Manolis! Thank you so so much for everything, The Frangadakis Family.

Room Tip: Imperial Wing newer rooms, but both sides of the hotel are nice.
