I read loads of reviews about this area and this hotel and just want to put it out there that due to this being a cliff-side area, getting to most hotels whether here or anywhere along the coast requires a few stairs. And, the more stairs.... the better the view!! Therefore, nothing to be scared of. The porters will help you with your bags and the walk up to the hotel though the alley ways and past the local's homes is interesting.

We loved this quaint little hotel perched above the old buildings of Atrani overlooking the Mediterranean. We had a sea view room which had an incredible view of the mountains to the left, the town and church in the middle and the sea on the right often seeing families eating out on their roof tops - really nice.

The church bells do chime every 15 minutes. As we don't get this at home, we slept with the windows wide open as it just makes the experience of being in Antrani kind of special. If this is not for you, the windows block this out almost entirely if closed.

The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a large bath in our room which looks out over the town and the sea (if that is your thing) but standing on the balcony overlooking the town listening to the church bells is very peaceful.

The room that we had had very little cupboard space to unpack. We were there for 5 nights so it was a little inconvenient. The rooms are quite funky in terms of lighting and design which I kind of felt unfitting of the surroundings - personal thing I guess...

The breakfasts were varied and tasty so we really enjoyed them.

They also have a roof top area which is a great place to watch the last bit of the day over a drink before heading out for dinner. Imma was a super star and always provided a little snack plate with our drinks which was a really special touch.

The staff were all great and very helpful in suggesting day tours as well as arranging them directly with the service providers. They arranged and booked us on a private boat tour of the Amalfi coast which stopped in all the grottos, islands, Capri, lunch at a great seafood place as well as a swim in the ocean off the back of the boat - just and excellent day out. They really did all they could to make sure our stay was great.

The Antrani town has loads of excellent little restaurants. Other than that, Amalfi (literally a 10 minute walk) also has some fantastic options!

TIP: If you are planning on swimming there are bathing beaches (one just outside the hotel), but take some slops as the beaches are very hard on the feet! Definitely worth the experience of swimming in the clear Med.

On the whole, it is a quaint little town next door to the busier Amalfi but close enough to easily get to. The hotel is friendly and inviting with great staff. We have already decided that we will return someday!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary trip. After reading several reviews we decided on the Palazzo Ferraioli as it was placed in Atrani (which is a short walk away from the town of Amalfi). We read about the stairs prior and luckily were only there for a long weekend so we packed light. There are a lot of stairs to the hotel but you'll soon find out that's the case with most of the towns on the Amalfi Coast! All of the staff were very friendly and super attentive. They also helped us with tickets for a day trip to Capri (high recommend!).

Breakfast was relatively good - egg options, lots of pork (con if you don't eat pork or meat) and lovely pastries, fruit cheeses etc.

We didn't get to use to spa services but they sounded amazing! We were really happy with our room! We paid a little more for the sea view room with jacuzzi tub and it was heavenly (especially after a long day of travelling). The room was modern and bathroom was great, especially the rainfall shower.

The local church bells rang a LOT which takes some time to get used to, but not the hotel's doing at all :)

Overall, I'd recommend and would return if visiting the Amalfi Coast again!

Room tip: Rooms with sea view are worth the extra money! Also, if you have an early flight it's worth paying for the airport transfer (130 euro).

We enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel. The location is a quick walk to Amalfi (through the tunnel if it's raining) and there is a nice little beach in walking distance as well. Most days we walked to Amalfi and would catch a ferry or small boat to another beach or to Positano. We had a rental car, but after driving from Naples on the very windy, narrow roads, we were happy not to drive again until our departure.

Pros: Room was clean and bright. Staff was very friendly and spoke English. The porter carried our bags up the many steps for us. Location near Amalfi was great. Rooftop terrace was lovely and they would deliver drinks to the terrace if you called down. The excursion provided through the hotel to Pompeii was excellent.

Cons: Our Air Conditioning turned off every evening. We would manually reset the breaker in the room and that would fix the issue most nights. Other nights we had to call to the front desk and have them fix it. One night they were unable to help. Parking was VERY confusing. We had to call three times to figure out where to meet the porter and valet. It was at the beach below the main road. Self parking in the garage would have been much easier in hindsight. No fitness center.

Overall, this was a great spot as a base to explore the coast. Atrani had a few cute restaurants and Amalfi offered much to enjoy. Don't choose this hotel or frankly many others if you cannot do stairs.

Pros:
Palazzo Ferraioli is a really nice hotel in Atrani. I highly recommend staying here and away from Amalfi and Positano where most of the tourists end up. It's a small little town with amazing people. Walking distance to the beach, Amalfi and great restaurants. A quick bus ride away from Ravello, etc.

Cons:
The breakfast options were a little limited for vegetarians, but still good. There's no elevator to reach the hotel. So if you're staying here, pack light otherwise you'll have to climb a LOT of stairs with baggage which was really tiring.

We upgraded to a partial sea view room and we would definitely come back! Thanks for a great stay and being so hospitable.

The hotel has been quirkily renovated and has some nice features. We upgraded to a deluxe room with sea views and its own Jacuzzi, which after the drive from Naples airport and a stop at Pompei was something to look forward to. Regrettably, after arriving and fully unpacking, the Jacuzzi did not work. Things like this obviously go wrong from time to time and we were offered an alternative room next door which was very similar. But we were fully unpacked with everything in wardrobes, cupboards, bathroom, and we were in robes, so not exactly ideal and quite an upheaval. New room was OK and the Jacuzzi worked, but our luxury stay had not got off to a great start. "Never mind I thought, at these prices I am sure the hotel will be professional enough to compensate us with a complimentary drink at the bar etc?" Sadly, no gesture of any kind was ever made. The staff are all very friendly, smiley and helpful and I can see why it has received such good reviews - we were perhaps unfortunate that things did not work out for us, but nobody at the hotel had the courtesy or awareness to recognise that their luxury service had fallen short!. As nice as this hotel is, our experience will not see us return.
