We wanted a dinner away from Ravello and the crowds of Amalfi were not impressing us.

We made a reservation and were seated immediately.

The zucchini pasta is so rich and delicious. We also had the lentil soup, the shrimp risotto and the scampi pasta.

Excellent little place!

We have walked past Atrani dozens of times en route from La Scarpariello to Amalfi without giving it a second glance but are so glad we did so this time. Ristorante Savo is a superb little restaurant tucked away in the corner of Piazza Umberto. Intimate, atmospheric and popular so definitely best to book ahead. We managed to secure a people watching table on the piazza and enjoyed a super meal of rigatoni with zucchini, cream milk, local smoked cheese and dried onions (one primi which we shared) followed by their catch of the day which was sea bass. I chose sea bass grilled with mint, extra virgin olive oil and falanghina grape vinegar while SWMBO had hers with Amalfi lemon, wild fennel and potato coins from their garden, which we washed down with half a litre of their vino blanco della casa. We left well satisfied and enjoyed a very good ice cream at Gelataria Artigianale Marco, in the passageway between the square and the beach.

I had a lovely evening eating here with my partner a few nights ago. The staff were lovely, really friendly and made the dining experience even better.

Food wise we had anchovies in vinegar, fried fish of the day and a divine white fish (can't remember the name - sorry) with an aubergine side.

Drinks wise we had a lovely bottle of red wine then the waiter served me the largest negroni I've ever had. It was really well made to his credit, just looooooooong.

Thanks again to the staff at ristorante savo, recommend!

Thank Shaun G

Cheese platter was excellent, I ordered the fresh fish of the day, which was delicious, went well with my local wine from Ravello. My daughter ordered the pasta with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and basil. She thought it was pretty good but she couldn't really taste the garlic as much as she thought, it was still lovely though. The service was great and they were so nice and helpful. Would recommend this place for a lovely dinner.
