This was one of the nicest little towns we visited and we stumbled across this place in a quiet side street. The staff were all very friendly and got us going with menus and drinks before taking our orders. We all had different seafood pasta dishes and they were all excellent as was the local wine. It was all very peaceful and civilised unlike some restaurants we'd been to. Good food and great service.

Cetera is one of the few unchanged villages along this beautiful coastline and well worth a visit. This restaurant is nestled on a lovely little square with, on the whole, friendly staff. The chef even came out a few times to check on folks. A starter of grilled vegetables was very tasty and very reasonably priced. The other starter of vegetables and doubled baked bread was fine. As we were given the English menu (and descriptions) perhaps something was lost in the translation. Pasta with fresh tomatoes and smoked cheese was very tasty and my husband opted for the veal and chips which he said was good. Would have been nice to try the local fish but it appeared to be only served with a variety of sauces. A bottle of local white wine and a bottle of water brought the bill to a reasonable amount for the area. No coffee available, not sure if this is only at lunchtime or if they just don't want you to linger. Complimentary liqueurs came with the bill which was nice. Restaurants seem to open later here, at 1pm, so keep that in mind.

We were sandwiched between two large family lunches on a Saturday. Service was therefore slow and careless and stressed. Spaghetti with "colatura di alici" (fish sauce) were great.

ended up there alone today because my wife was studiying and had in mind to have dinner and get some take away for her since she was in the hotel.. i was recommended to go to thiss resto.. aparantly it is famous.. didnt have time to check that one out.. anyway.. reception was good... friendly and professional.. first question.. what is the water i want.. . 3 min later it is on the table.. after that they come and ask for the wine you like.. i had glass of house wine,, great,,, my dinner was spaghetti with clams, steak and french fries, and grilled seafood..
the spaghetii was nice and huge so i asked them to pack for me.. i think a bit more garlic would have been better and turn it into aglio,,, the meat dish was nice in taste but its a thin slice,,, not the stuff we are used to in Belgium or south africa..
the seafood was generous and no complaints...
will come back here .. ;)

We have been here several times and are always enthousiastic about the quality of the food (fish) and the service.

The owner is a very nice guy, proud of his restaurant and is willing to share this feeling with you.

Here I learned that I needed to use more Colatura di Alici in my pasta.
