Party of 4 had a meal on a Saturday night. Staff were very pleasant and service was very good. It was nice to be given a basket of bread at the outset to nibble on while waiting for the starters. There was an a la carte and a menu for €25 with a choice of 4-5 starters, mains and deserts. Some main courses were €6 extra. Seafood chowder and black-pudding/pork starter were good and well presented. Main courses were slightly disappointing. The apple and almond tart was delicious and there was a very generous portion of profiteroles for deserts. it is a bonus that wine is sold by the 1/2 caraffe as well as in bottles. There was a good atmosphere. The only fault was that the table where we were seated was in a very cramped space where it was impossible to move the chairs back from the table.
