Six of us visited this weekend. The food was dreadful and the service very poor. Had there been anyone in the restaurant to whom we could have voiced our concerns I would not be on trip advisor!
Our starters were very small and mine was vegetable tempura. It was served on a small saucer sized plate with 4 slivers of vegetables for over £5. Six of us were given three small pots of sauce to share.
The mains were underwhelming and everything had a strange sweet taste.
At no time was any member of the waiting staff in the restaurant, other than when food was being brought to a table. So if you required anything the service was non-existent.
No one asked if our meals were okay/ did we need anything etc.
There were two waitresses who were pleasant but didn`t have a clue about proper table service and organisation. They were asking tables if they had ordered and people were waiting endlessly for their orders to be taken.
Finally, we were overcharged. It took an age to recalculate the bill and I was told it was because they were using a calculator on a friend`s mobile phone and there was something wrong with it. Surely a calculator could be provided.
If the restaurant is going to charge restaurant prices it needs to up its game and review portion sizes, train the staff in restaurant practices and customer care and get rid of the tv!.
