Today my friend and I attended the first muffin workshop with Claudia. Her husband was continually at the sink with all the dishes and endless supplies of drinks. Claudia was an excellent instructor and made everything look so easy so that both of us were able to create muffins that actually looked like muffins! The session took only 3 hours and in that time we produced 15 assorted muffins each.
A great morning and well worth the money. We can't wait until our next workshop...

This cafe is a gem being situated off the fascinating Lower High Street and near the Rochester riverside. I was surprised to find a cafe like this in England (let alone Medway). It is bright, clean and stylish in its simple decoration - I would have expected this in Norway or another North European country. I have visited there with my wife, friends and regard it as a must as a cycling pit-stop with bike racks outside. The cappuccino is the best I have ever had and is served hot (watched how it's made). I have had snacks including the wonderful apple cake and gluten-free cake. The cafe has a diverse and interesting customer base including elderly people from the nearby flats, students, riverside walkers and cyclists. The local businesses and residential communities all visit here and there is a well equipped indoor children's play area. Not suprisingly it is popular with young familes and there is also a women's German circle. It also has art exhibtions and a good wi-fil network. Locals have also discovered that the German hostess and her African husband are excellent bakers; nearby residents can be seen collecting their pre-ordered bread.
