Description: At the Old Station Restaurant & Bar we offer great locally sourced food at reasonable prices. Dine in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, in the unique setting of a converted Victorian railway station on the world famous West Highland Line. We are located at Spean Bridge station where the Commandos began their training during the Second World War. Relax beside the fire in our public bar and enjoy local real ales. We are the only bar in the village serving real ale on draught. We also have a good selection of malt whisky, Scottish gins and wine. We have a gluten-free menu which is available on request. Children are very welcome ... And we even have a special menu for the wee ones! Our Bar is open from 5pm until late in high season. Our Restaurant is open from 5.30pm until 9pm

Ate here twice during our stay in Stronaba, staff were really friendly, polite and helpful. Food was delicious with generous portions, place had a nice atmosphere, would definitely recommend trying here, book in advance as it does get booked up, we booked a table for 5.30pm on the same day with no issues.

Our experience was so good that we came back a second time in four days! Perfect setting on a railway station (which our three boys loved) and generous, delicious and wholesome food. All served with wonderful Scottish hospitality. Not to be missed if you’re in the Fort William area. Great for refuelling after climbing Ben Nevis!

We found this place after seeing the signs from the road and we were not disappointed! The food was lovely- I had the venison pate and the venison burger topped with haggis and my partner had haggis, neeps and tatties followed by the sirloin steak. Everything was cooked beautifully and absolutely delicious. Some reviews mentioned this being a “cafe” which is patently unfair. Sauces etc some in sachets rather than bottles, but in a pandemic I would prefer that.

Another huge surprise was the Royal Scotsman pulling into the station as we ate- what a treat! I would highly recommend.

We absolutely loved this place! The old railway station retains so much of its original charm and memorabilia, but the restaurant is brilliant! Lovely food, great staff and we are really going to miss this place! We are definitely going to recommend this to our friends. We will definitely be back!

Booked the private dining room for mine and my sister's family plus grandparents and everyone really enjoyed their meal (including the veggie options). Great beer too. Staff very friendly especially Sharon who made us feel incredibly welcome. Loved popping out to see the train go by on the platform with the kids too!
